Chapter 12: YOU AGAIN!

     It's been awhile since the anime convention and I haven't heard from Lance since then. It didn't really matter since I've been really busy studying for exams.
A couple of times I've already had anxiety attacks but they didn't really bother me. I've been updating Liza about how I'm doing and how I'm using the app she suggested. She's happy I actually used the app and that I've been doing well. She said that I should still take my medicine in case of anything happening.
Although I've been really busy I found some time to talk to unknownboy. He's been helping me with math and talking about life, apparently he's moving schools and houses so he's gonna be off for awhile. I didn't really know how it made me feel because talking to him felt like a daily routine to me.
Me: I'm really gonna miss you while you're offline...
Unknowboy_25: aw don't be sad it's just for a few days... It'll be over in no time.
Me: I hope so...
Unknowboy_25: ha... You're so cute <3
Me: whatever :p
Unknowboy_25: well it's getting late good luck on your first exam tomorrow... I'll miss you...
Me: thanks <3 and stop flirting with me jeez...

I woke up the next morning nervous for my geography exam. Not only is it my worst class I heard it was a 15 page exam. When I was about to hyperventilate I got a message. When I looked at my phone it said the message was from unknownboy.
Unknownboy_25: I don't know if you're awake still but I hope you do great on your exam! You're a smart girl you can do it! Good luck!
I calmed my nerves and hugged my phone. "Thanks unknownboy..." I said to myself. "Annabelle! Breakfast is ready!" I heard my mom say downstairs. I knew I can do it all I had to do was believe I can.
When we all walked into the geography classroom we noticed that we already had assigned seats. "Because I felt nice today I put you beside people who you are comfortable with. Your welcome." Our geography teacher said.
Me and Danica looked at each other with excitement and went to go look for our seats. "Now it's easier to study!" Danica said. After looking desk after desk I finally found my seat and so did Danica but we were on opposite sides of the room.
We were both very confused. When I looked to see who was beside me I saw it was Ruby. I went to the other side to tell Danica when our teacher told us to stay in our seats and study for 30 minutes before the exam starts.
I cursed under my breath and sat down. When I was calmly studying my notes Ruby came in looking for her seat. When she came to the desk beside me she looked at me disgusted and asked out loud, "Miss can I please change my seat, I don't want to catch depression from her..."
Everybody gasped and Danica was ready to tackle her down. My teacher was very surprised but stood up and said, "Ruby! That's a very serious problem and you shouldn't talk about it that way, if your going to act like this on the last day of this class I might as well give you a zero on this exam, are we clear?" She let every one "ohhhhhh" and "she told you." "Anyway... Sure you can switch seats with someone." Danica suddenly put her hand up and gathered her things to sit beside me.
Before Ruby left to go to her new seat Danica asked if she sat down. "No why are you asking?" Ruby said turning back, "oh I didn't want to catch you're bitchy attitude." Ruby gasped but walked away.
"Why did you do that!" I said trying to control my laughter. "Because it's true, she gets on my nerves so much. One day I'm actually gonna punch her in the face. Now shut up and study."
The exam was about an hour and a half but I finished 25 minutes before the end of the exam. When the bell rang indicating all exams for the first day were over my geography teacher told me to stay back. As we waited for everybody to leave I told my mom I was gonna be late because my teacher wanted to talk to me. "Yes miss, you wanted to see me?" She smiled and said, "are you okay? How are things going?" She looked pretty concerned and I said I was doing fine.
I figured it was because what Ruby said earlier. "That's good. Well have a good summer!" I've never seen her this nice before so I just smiled and said thank you.
I walked outside looking for my mom's car when I saw Nathan waiting outside leaning on the car he rented. "What are you doing here?!" I said as I walked up to the car. "What no hug first?" He opened his arms and waited for me to hug him.
Knowing Nathan he would start a hissy fit so I hugged him anyway. "How was your first exam?" He asked letting go of me "Fine. Why?" I said as I was getting into the car. "I asked you're mom if I can take you out for Starbucks to celebrate your first exam." I laughed and playfully punched his arm. "You don't have to but fine if you insist. You're paying for me right?" He laughed and called me a broke ass.
After thinking about it I decided to message unknownboy to tell him how my exam went.
Me: hey unknownboy, I know you're probably not gonna get this because you're moving but my first exam went great all thanks to your "words of wisdom" lol talk to you later! Missing you already!
When I lifted my head back up we were already at Starbucks. When I got out of the car I realized it was the same Starbucks I was supposed to me that jackass. Although the place brought bad memories I didn't want Nathan to drive longer because he's already done so much for me. "You okay? You don't look so good..." He said rubbing my back.
"Huh? Oh maybe I'm just tired..." He smiled sympathetically, "well good thing they have coffee!" He rushed me inside and made me sit down in one of the comfy couch chairs. "Sit here and I'll order okay! So what do you want the caramel swirl thing?" I smiled, he knew me so well. "Nah, I'll try something new today... The cotton candy frap sounds good!" He nodded and went to go stand In line to order our drinks.
     As I was waiting I texted my mom that I was with Nathan at Starbucks. "So are you texting that boyfriend of yours?" Nathan said handing me my drink. I froze stiff and aggressively took my drink from him, "it was just a question, chill..." At first I was really mad that he asked me that and tried avoiding eye contact with him but then I realized I was getting mad at him for no reason, he even bought me Starbucks this wasn't the way to thank him.
     "Thanks for the drink, I really needed it..." I said slowly turning to face him. "It's no problem, you are my favorite cousin..." I rolled my eyes and shoved him, "oh shut up!" We both laughed and started enjoying our caffeine filled drinks.
     "By the way that "boyfriend of mine" doesn't exist any more... He broke up with me awhile ago." I looked at Nathan and he stayed silent for awhile. I was about to touch his shoulder when he slammed his now empty cup on the little coffee table in front of us. "Was HE the reason why?" I was confused because I wasn't really sure what he was talking about. "Reason for what Nath-" he got up and threw his cup away, "get your things... We're leaving."
     He left the store banging the door behind him. Everyone was confused including me, "uh is everything okay?" An employee asked coming out of the back room. "Oh um yeah everything is fine, I guess he just really had to go haha..."  They were all staring at me... I didn't know what to do I started quivering and started to breathe deeply, I awkwardly walked away from the employee and tried looking for Nathan in the small parking lot.
     As I was slowly catching my breathe again he pulled up near the entrance and told me to hurry up. "Jeez what took you so long?" Nathan asked without making eye contact with me. "What's with you?!" Out of no where I got really angry, he's never acted like this around me and it really pissed me off. "Why did you have to cause a scene back there! Everyone was staring at me! You know how much I hate attention! I- I almost had a panic attack and all you did was left... What the hell Nathan!" I started to burst out in tears, I felt helpless.
Nathan looked at me in fear and pain, he didn't mean to hurt me and trigger an almost panic attack. He hushed me and hugged me from the drivers seat saying that he was sorry and that everything was going to be fine. His hugs were always the best, it brought me back to when we were kids and would watch a scary movie. As always I would get scared and wouldn't be able to go to sleep because I was scared that some monster was gonna take me.
But Nathan was always there to make sure not one thing would lay a finger on me, he would always hug me to sleep and keep me warm in his embrace until I felt safe. He was my hero.
I finally calmed down and Nathan started driving me back to my house. "What were you asking me back there?" I said staring out of the window. I can tell he didn't want to go back to the subject since he made me cry but he knew I deserved answers, "when you mentioned you didn't have a boyfriend before-it just clicked that what your mom told me... About you being hospitalized because you cut yourself... Was that because of that bastard?" I was silent for a while and nodded my head and turned to him.
"Sadly yes... But it wasn't because we broke up, it was because I found out that he was a jerk all along." He looked at me confused and I told him the whole story of what happened. It hurt to tell it again but considering it was him I didn't really mind. When he dropped me off he made sure to tell me to take my medicine and not let stupid boys be the reason I leave scars on my body.
From the time Nathan dropped me off to about 9:30 at night I was studying for my next exam, MATH. I wasn't too nervous for it, my average was already in the 90's and I had a really good teacher so my stress levels were pretty clear.
I couldn't help but constantly look at my phone for new messages but every time I check zero turned up, not even from Danica. I guess because it's exams week everyone was too busy to text otherwise their grades would go down the toilet. Suddenly my text tone goes off and it's a message from Danica.
Danica: still up?
Me: yeah. I was kinda waiting for you to message me lol
Danica: lol really
Me: yeah, anyway what's up?
Danica: oh do you remember Penelope?
Me: oh yes! What about her?
Danica: she messaged me a awhile ago asking if we wanted to "study" at the mall tomorrow for our art exam
Me: oh cool. Still upset there's an exam at all! I mean all we ever do is draw >:(
Danica: says the girl with the highest average
Me: lol whatever and yeah I'll tag along
Danica: okay great I'll text her right away! Anyway better sleep unless you want to look like a zombie and scare all the cute boys at the mall tomorrow!
Me: jeez okay night <3

     The math exam wasn't as bad as I thought. Danica, Penelope and I were waiting for Penelope's dad so we can go to the mall and "study".  When we got there we went around a few stores and even bought some stuff along the way. Suddenly Penelope and I got really thirsty and noticed a bubble tea store near by. We both decided to go and buy some, thinking about bubble tea reminded me  when Lance bought me one back at the mall near the anime convention.
     "Hello ladies! What can I get ya!" The cheery male voice said behind the counter. Not to lie but the guy was pretty cute, He had  shaggy black hair and piecing red eyes. "Ken" was written on his name tag, "hi! Can I have 2 taro bubble teas with tapioca please." I offered to pay for Penelope's drink since her dad offered Danica and I a ride home.
     "Okay 2 taros coming up!" We watched him make our drinks entertaining us with him singing and dancing all over the place. Once he was done filling up the cups he gave them to us, "enjoy ladies this is on the house."He said as he winked at me.
     Normally I would roll my eyes but this guy was very charming, although it was a nice offer I still wanted to pay. "Aw thanks but how much-" "nope I will not accept any money you give me! I can't possibly take money from you pretty lady." Ken looked our age but was quite short which kinda made him adorable.
     After giving up and thanking him again for the drinks we met up with Danica who was standing in the entrance of the store. "Ohhhh looks like someone is interested in you." She said shoving me in the arm. "Just because he said I'm pretty doesn't mean shit." I said back to her.
     As we were walking out of the store a guy came out of nowhere and bumped into me spilling my bubble tea all over my top. I looked down to see that there was a huge purple stain with some tapioca slipping off, when I looked to see who this idiot was I couldn't believe it. 
     "You!?" I said pointing at Lance, "wow I never thought I'd see you again." He said back just staring at me with the same blank expression he always has plastered on his face.
"By the way you kinda have something all over you..." He said pointing at my top. "Well it's your fault! You ran into me!" I was furious with the way he reacted, there was no "sorry" , not even a "my bad". He was lucky my drink was free otherwise I would have murdered him. "Anyways what are you even doing here?" I said trying to clean my top with some tissues my friends gave me, "oh I live around here." Lance responded. WHAT!
