'"What are you doing, Little Bird?" I heard a voice say from down the hall.

"Avoiding you Jonas" I said letting my accent show. He just laughed. A sigh followed.

"You do know that all of this would be a lot easier if you just accept me Little Bird?" he said. I rolled my eyes at this and slightly smiled.

"You're not the man you used to be J. You've changed. I don't even know who you are anymore."

"Possibly so, but this world has changed Little Bird. It's been fifteen years Harley! Fifteen, you can guarantee that everyone we used to know back then has changed because of what happened. We can't help that I got... a little, carried away that night. Nobody can. I'm what made this world the way it is today."'

I read this out of my mom's journal. She gave it to my uncle Bruce who lives in uptown Gotham. Not too long after I went to live with my uncle she was killed. She went to see my dad, The Joker, Jonas Graham, in lower Gotham. He killed her. Put her in a five star hotel and then blew it up right after. I've been living with my Uncle Bruce and his son Damien. It's been five years since this happened. I was nine when she died. Harleen Quinnzel, Harley Quinn the Little Bird. It had been a while since I read the journal, about a year. My name is Monday Wayne. My last name was Quinnzel but my uncle thought it would be good to have it changed since Harley Quinn's real identity was released to the public after she died. No one was informed she had a kid but the last name was a giveaway so a month after she died it was changed to Wayne.

I come from a very messed up family. My uncle Bruce is not blood related, only like family. My mom trusted him even though they used to be sworn enemies. My mom was Harley Quinn, my dad is The Joker, my uncle Bruce he's the Batman. My family is sworn enemies. "Hey money!" I heard Damien yell from downstairs of the Wayne mansion, "It's time to go!"

"Be down in a minuet Bat Brains!" I yelled back. According to Bruce that's what my mom would always call him when they would be fighting, Bat Brains. I picked up my phone and headed out of the door with my bag on my back. Today I would be starting high school as a freshman. Damien would be starting as a sophomore. No classes together. All alone with no friends. It was my first year at an actual school. Bruce would have a private teacher come in and teach me. He said he never thought I was ready or safe to go to a public school with Damien.

...

"WELCOME FRESHMANS AND WELCOME BACK SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS AND SENIORS."

Read the large banner in the door to the school. It was large and cast a shadow behind it. There was a lady standing in the lobby greeting the new freshman's for the year. The words were in a hot pink and the banner was black. I stared at the banner for a minuet then someone walked up to me. "Hey yeah to answer your questions that is the school colors, hot pink and black." I looked at the girl who was talking to me. She was tall and had red hair and ivy green eyes. "Hi I'm Pamela, call me Pam though." She said. I was reluctant to introduce myself. Eventually I did.

"I'm Monday Wayne," I said. Pam smiled at me and held her hand out like she wanted to shake hands. I looked at her and smiled, I gestured to the books in my hand, "Sorry, hands full."

"It's okay, got to get to class now. See ya." She waved and walked away, heading to her first period class. I glanced down at my schedule to see what my classes were,

FIRST PERIOD: ENGLISH, D. JOHNSON

SECOND PERIOD: ADVANCED MATH, J. HARVEY

THIRD PERIOD: HISTORY, K. WALKER

FOURTH PERIOD: ADVANCED SCIENCE, M. SOREN

FIFTH PERIOD: COMPUTER SCIENCE, P. ARNOLD

There was a map at the bottom of the schedule to show me where to go. I looked around for a nice person that could show me where these are at. I spotted Damien in the crowd and started to walk over to him. He was standing next to a short blond girl. Maria. God I hated her. She's been Damien's girlfriend since the beginning of his summer break. She smiled at me and I shot a glare and walked the opposite way of them.

About five minutes of walking the halls I finally found my first period. I walked in the door and looked around. I saw people of all sorts but one guy specifically stood out upon the rest. He stood tall at the front of the room talking to the teacher. He turned around to find a seat and caught my stare. We looked each other in the eyes for a few seconds and then he walked off to a table. "And who are you?" the teacher said now looking at me, my attention being stolen from the boy.

"Oh uh I'm Monday sir, Monday Wayne." I said looking at the teacher.

"Are you in relation to Bruce Wayne?" he asked.

"You could say that." I said shyly.

"Well just so you know, I won't give you any special attention just because you're a Wayne."

"Yes sir, understood." i said.

"Take a seat next to, ehhh, Mr. Dumstrang over there." He pointed to the tall boy that sat down at the table. I hesitated at first and then made my way over to the table and sat down in the empty seat next to the boy.

I looked at the boy and shyly smiled. Dumstrang? That's his last name. I took note of his tan skin. Could be German or something, I told myself. "Hi I'm Tony." The boy said. He had bright blue eyes and golden blond hair, with a pearly white smile.

"Hi, I'm Monday." I said with a sly smile. I looked away at the board to see what Mr. Johnson was writing on it. He kept writing till it looked like there was a paragraph plus two. One of the girls behind me and Tony groaned, I turned around and looked at them and the one brunette girl rolled her eyes. "What are you looking at rich girl?" the blond girl said. I put my hands up as to say nothing and turned back around. "Don't worry about her, that's Stephane, she's a choice word that starts with B." Tony said.

"Ahh I see." I replied.

The day went on and at the end of third period lunch came. I was relieved until I realized that I wouldn't really have anywhere to sit or anyone to sit with. I got in line to get my tray when Damien caught up to me. "What do you think you are doing Money?" he said with a confused and amused look.

"Getting lunch," I said kind of confused, "what are you doing?" I asked.

"Not letting you eat this nasty stuff." He replied

"Okay?" I said once again confused.

Damien took my tray and put it back in the stack of clean trays. He then took my wrist and dragged me out of school. "Where are we going?" I asked, alarmed. Damien didn't say anything and dragged me to his car. "Get in." he said as he opened the door for me. I got in as he said and buckled the seat belt. "Where are we going?" I asked again more aggressively.

"You'll see Little Bird." He said. I gasped. Little Bird. That's what my dad called my mom. Then it hit me. Damien is working for my dad and Bruce didn't know. Damien started laughing in a way I've found familiar. I look out of the window and I see Gotham become only ruins. The outskirts of Gotham turn into nothing.
