"What the hell D? What were you thinking? The Batman, your father, will notice she's missing when she doesn't come home tonight!!!" I heard a man yell. The voice was weak but fearless. It was a rough voice as well. I came back and to too consciousness. I faded in and out for a time I could not measure. I think it may have been three hours, maybe four. Who knows?

"You wanted her Boss, here she is. Now pay up." I heard Damien say. He was scared, I could hear it in his voice.

"Me? I know you didn't just demand me, to pay you little batman. No one demands me to do anything!" said the other man with a tense voice.

"Alright, alright," Damien paused, "you can get your mob to pay me back whenever it may come to your convince" he finished.

I thought about screaming out for help, and then I concluded there would never be anyone to help me. I just sat there, thinking if anything would ever happen. I waited for an hour and nothing happened. "Wake up Little Bird." I heard the older man say. He then removed the sack from over my head. A sudden light blinded me. I assumed it was an LED light overhead. My vision took a few minutes to adjust.

I started to see an outline of a man, a tall man. His hair looked about shoulder length and he looked like he was wearing a vintage suit. A dark purple suit and his face covered in scars. There was a slight scar above his right eyebrow and then he had two big scars forming a smile on his face. Then I realized who it was. "Jonas." I gasped.

"Right you are, Little Bird. You look just like your mother Monday." Jonas said. I spit at him.

"Don't speak of my mother you unworthy bat!" I said glaring at his feet. He had nice snake skin dress shoes on that were a light shade of green. He laughed.

"Why so serious Little Bird?" he grinned as I looked up at him my hands tied around my back in the chair. Jonas did some hand gestures to some of his goons and they came and untied my hands. I looked at them and then smiles. "Thanks." I muttered. They just slightly nodded and walked back to the corners of the room. "Leave us be." Said Jonas and the goons left the room.

Jonas stared at me for a minute and grinned. "My daughter, I never actually believed Harley but now that you're here Monday, oh gods this is wonderful!" he yelled with a strange laughter. He was dancing around the room with a dark purple grenade in hand the pin not yet pulled. He threw it in the air and then caught it in the air. I had a mini-heart attack when he caught it. I thought that the whole room would explode. Damien walked in the room saying something then paused mid-sentence. "She's up." He said and then he smiled. I shot a sharp glare at him. He laughed just like Jonas.

"Hey Money." He said. I shot another glare.

"Don't talk to me like we are friends, you lost that the second you brought me here Damien." I said, my voice full of anger.

"I know Money, I know, I'm sorry I really am" he said. I could tell by his voice that he meant it. I looked down at the ground and started to feel bad for giving Damien the evil look I just gave him. I then remembered that he was the one who brought me here and all the pity I had for him left. He is just like Jonas, the man who killed my mother. I started to say something but I stopped afraid that something bad may happen if I did say something. I looked back up at Jonas and then at Damien. "Have you spoken to your father yet Little Bat?" Jonas said.

"Yeah, he is angry but he isn't going to do anything because he thinks she might show up." Damien said. The Joker paused,

"Very well." He said, "I'll leave you two alone to chat." He said and then he walked out of the room.

Damien and I sat in silence until he said something. "Would you like to know what is happening?" he asked.

"Of course I want to freaking know what is happening!" I yelled. My hands were free but my feet were still tied to the chair. Damien walked over to where I was and he bent down in front of me. He pulled a knife out of his pocket and held it up, as if he were examining it. Before I knew what he was doing I reached out and slapped him. He just grinned. "What?" I asked.

"You are pretty feisty Monday."

"I kind of already knew this," I said, "so what's happening?" I asked.

"Your dad is paying me for bringing you here," he paused, "he doesn't think your mother is dead. He thinks she is alive, he wants you to help find her."

I had to stop and think about what was being said. My mother was still alive? Did Bruce know? Does he know I'm here? "Does Bruce know I'm here?" I asked.

"No, he thinks you are at the new girls Pam's house." He replied.

We sat in silence for a few minutes then Jonas walked back in. He gestured to his goons to get Damien out of the room. "I'll be back." He yelled as the goons dragged him out. I stared after them and the door closed. I felt Jonas's hand on the back of my head and lifted my head up. He held my stare for a few minutes. "Your mom is alive, Monday. I didn't kill her despite what Bruce has told you. She is alive, somewhere in Gotham. She may be in Arkham. I need your help to find my Little Bird so we can be a family." The Joker said. I stared at him in disbelief. "Your friend Damien, Nightwing, will be back for you in two hours." He said, and then everything went black again.
