The Dream

I woke up to a banging on my door. "GO AWAY!" I yelled at the person. The banging continued. "What the heck do you want?" I yelled again. The banging still continued. I got up and started to walk to my door and then paused when I remembered the knife under my bed. I bent over to pick it up and grabbed it before I went to my door. I slowly unlocked my door and opened, I had the knife up and I was ready to use it if needed. I opened the door with a little bit more speed when I saw the person's shoes. Green snake skin... then I realized who it was, it was my father. "Come on Monday we don't have all day!" he said grabbing my arm.

"Hold on dad, Jeez, let me get dressed." I said getting out of his hold.

"Oh okay, be quick about it though M, we have to be there soon." He said.

I put on a pair of blue and red shorts that used to belong to my mom when she was in Arkham. Her "Daddies lil' monster" crop top, and her red and blue jacket. I put my blonde hair up in pigtails so the colored tips would be separated. One tip pigtail tip pink, one pigtail tip blue. I got my bat and put on my golden choker. My mom's said Puddin because that's what she called my dad. Mine on the other hand said Princess, because that's my nick name from my dad. "You ready yet?" I heard my dad say.

"Yes father, I am ready to go." I slipped on my boots and left my room with my bat in hand. I switched off the glowing neon lights in my room and walked out the door. I walked down the hall waiting for someone to announce them self. Either my dad or Bruce would. My dad Jonas, now being Joker or Bruce now being Batman. Me in the middle as M Quinn. I looked so much like my mom according to my dad. She died, or did she? I closed my eyes to blink and when I opened them I was in a whole other place. The walls were smoky and on fire, the walls were falling down around me. I wore the same outfit I changed into when I was in my room. "DAD?!" I yelled wondering if he was still here. I called out his name a couple more times but I got no answer. The walls started to fall down and fire started to surround me. I started to cough on the smoke as everything caved in. I felt a burn on my back then I realized fire had caught my back. I closed my eyes tight to try to block out the pain. I opened my eyes and once more I was in a different place. Now I was in a field, it looked like it was the outskirts of Gotham, where Damien had taken me to meet my father. I saw a woman standing across the field. She wore a smile on her face. She wore leather black and red pants along with matching boots and corset as a shirt, her cleavage barley showing.

Her hair was as blond as mine and in pigtails. The tips although were red and black. I stared at her and she stared back. Her movements matched mine. We stood there for five minutes and then she smiled. She was finally moving on her own. She pulled out a knife and started walking towards me. She got closer and closer and I just stood there, frozen with an emotion I've never felt before. She got closer and closer until I could make out her facial features. She looked like me. The same crystal blue eyes and everything. We were the same. The woman's lips curled into a smile. "My precious girl." The woman said. That's when I realized who it was. It way Harley, it was my mother.

Harley took the knife and put it up to my mouth. She smiled at me and held the knife there. She looked me in the eyes and I stared back into hers. We held the stare for what seemed like forever. Finally the stare was broken. She pressed the knife tighter to my mouth and then smiled. "Why so serious, Baby Doll?"
