I was just running. I thought I saw pony but I was not sure "PONY!!" I yelled and I started to slow down. Until ahead I saw a blue mustang pull up next to someone and then I just ran faster "PONYBOY!" I yelled and I ran. Finally I made it to him and stopped. "Buddies remember my little friend" I smirked and flipped out my blade. "Well now your not the only one" another one said and flipped out his own and my smirk went to a frown "agh greasers think they are better than us don't they.." One of them said pointing his blade at both of us "Leaveus the fuck alone!" I said and pointed my blade at them also. And they got frightened a little. But not completely "ahh looke here it's that pony kid" another one said walking over to him. "Aye get off me" pony said getting mad. "Hey buddy calm down" he said pointing the knife at him then he tried jabbing him but he moved out of the way. Then I tried stabbing them but they moved out of the way. Then on and on we kept going for each other until one last time he went for pony and he was not paying attention so I jumped I front and he stabbed me instead and he did it again. Just as he stabbed me I think soda and Darry showed up because I heard screaming faintly "oops" he said "you son of a bitch" I said and fell to the ground "LACEY!" Was the last thing I heard until I blacked out.
Soda's p.o.v
Oh my god she was stabbed. I felt my heart drop. I was crying I can't believe it. I was to late. Pony had some bad scrapes too.i finally dropped down next to her and pony."soda she blacked out" pony said shaking her. Then I picked her up and started running "come on we are going to the hospital!"
