Alia's POV
I was miserable. I was staring at my phone in my physics class. Once again I was wondering weather or not I should call him, beg of forgiveness. No silly my brain say. He should be apologizing to you! I dropped my phone into my bag and put my head in my hands.
"Alia would you like to tell us the answer to the question?"
"Three weeks." I muttered. That was how long it had been since he held me, almost forced you into bed! Since I felt his lips, forced his tounge down your throat...Since-The bell rang and the class had already moved on I was up and out in a second. I went straight to my locker. Jess came around waiting for me when a voice not belonging to Jess spoke.
"Alia." It was a male voice, my breath hitched and my head shot up straight and my eyes glossed over. I turned...
Yet it was not Nate. My heart sank but kept up my smile.
"Hi Jason."
"So um...I was wondering..."He took my hand and backed me up and turned my around to face the lockers. Above in big bright purple letters was the word 'PROM?' spelled out. I heard Jess scream beside me,
"Yes! Yes absolutely! Yes she is go going!"
"Great! I'll pick you up at seven? Dinner?"
"Ah...kay?" I said numb. He smiled and came over kissing my cheek. I tensed. He walked away with the wave of his hand.
"Why would you do that?" I said turning to Jess.
"Ever since Nate you have been so down, you could use this, no you deserve it." Tears came to my eyes.
"No Jess, I don't deserve it, but since you oh so willingly signed me up to go I'll go to spare Jason's feelings."
"Well you will need a dress...we'll go tomorrow, The Prom is Saturday so these next two days we will get everything done, hair, we'll go Saturday day before he picks you up. Dresses and nails tomorrow. Now I know what you're thinking there won't be anymore. No worries I have connections at Skyler's boutique I had them set aside one of every dress so we will have quite the selection..." Jess rambled but deep down a sour voice I had not heard in a while woke up. At least you get to go to your stupid prom..hope it was worth the fight...just remember...you won't be with Nate.
Nate's POV
I set down the glass the ice jingling in the glass. I took a breath and poured another. A knock came at the door of the dark room.
"I will be down momentarily until then I want zero disturbances." I said calmly. The door opened and calm left me. I was going to kill someone I turned and standing in the doorway was my father. I gritted my teeth. "Came to see your handiwork father?"
"I came to see my son Nathaniel. When you weren't home I wondered where you were then I checked call records and got-"
"I don't care you're here now what do you want?" I said briskly taking a sip of my drink. His eyes narrowed at me.
"Don't interrupt me Nathaniel. I got the message about the San Diego flooding."
"Yes the flood I started renovating, I've worked out the prices and taken the money out of the accounts, I was about to go down there to explain the lay out to the work manager. If you want to take a look the project file is on the desk right there." I pointed with my chin to the desk to the right.
"What's wrong Nathaniel?"
"You can't be serious."
"Oh but I am she was just another girl, you have had hundreds at your feet she was just an-"
