Nate's POV

I woke up to the sound of a hospital machine you know the ones you hear in all the movies. I let out a groan. My eyes opened.

"Oh Nate thank God you're okay." My mother...or Delilah cried as she kissed my head.

"Off off get off of me." She backed up and folded her hands together. I rubbed my head. "Shit what day is it?"

"It's Saturday." I closed my eyes then opened them once again I let out a breath. I sat up and looked at my arm and sure enough an IV machine was in my vain. I gritted my teeth and pulled it out. "Nate! what are you doing?"

"Checking out I have to find Alia." I looked at my father and said. "That was your story not mine. And at this point I have the power to say this is not how the story is going to end. I'm not letting her go father." My eyes glanced at a pile of clean clothes on the chair. I picked them up and headed into the bathroom. I pulled on my jeans and shirt. I looked in the mirror for once thankful I was alive. I was lucky my face was fine everything else looked really bad. Half my side was scrapped and scabbing. My forehead was scratched but there was no permeant damage done.

I shook off some dirt still in my hair and did my best to look presentable. When I came back into the hospital room my father was holding up keys.

"You're right Nathaniel...Don't let your story end the same way mine did."

"Thank you father." I grabbed the keys and ran out the room out the building. Waiting was my father's car. I got in quickly and dialed Alia's number. First time no answer, second time no answer the third time she picked up on the third ring. "Alia please tell me where you are I need to talk to you I-"

"Who do you think you are? Breaking her heart? Going MIA the past few weeks? You are a monster." A sassy voice on the other end answered, I knew this wasn't Alia.

"Look please just put Alia on the phone."

"Nate!" I heard her in the background.

"Look buddy you lost your chance you left her and refused her prom! So you know what she found someone else to go with."

"No Nate that's not what happened. Jess give me the-" The phone clicked off. I bit my cheek I call again but no answer came. I stopped calling and plugged her phone number into one of my tracking searchs. SouthCoast Mall. I almost jumped. I turned around and headed there imediatly I would not be losing her to someone else...she wouldn't really consider...would she?

I followed the map to her location I parked in the parking structure and got out barely grabbing the keys as I flew. I ran into the mall trying to find her I was running through the mall and I saw her she was beautiful. Her hair was all done and she was in a dress that fit her in all the right places. I looked at her laughing with a friend or maybe arguing. I looked at her and she looked so happy. I started to walk away thinking maybe she was better with out me.

"Nate!" I heard from behind it was her voice. I spun around.

"Alia." A smile bigger than I had ever seen graced her face. She ran to me barefoot still in that dress and running to me. She stopped right in front of me and now I knew it was now or never.

"Nate-"

"I used to think I was heartless Alia-"

"Nate-"

"No let me speak. I used to think I was heartless Alia. I never listened to my heart ever, it was always my head and my desires never my heart. I kept it under heavy chains and a good lock and key. Then you came along...not that day in Mr. Krammer's class no. You were walking through the hall you passed my math class and I felt my heart leap and as you walked by you took my heart with you. I looked at you not with lust not with control but with love. Alia I-I need you and there are not many things in this world I need but I need you okay? I want a small chance and I promise you I will be the best choice you have ever made." She looked at me. Just looked didn't crack a smile or anything. When she spoke her voice was a whisper.

"What about the contract?"

"You must understand Alia that I will have compulsions and that this is the way I was raised and..."I looked into her eyes that shown like glass and bit my lip. "Rip it up." Her head shot up and her eyes matched mine in surpise. I could hardly believe I was saying it myself. I nodded my head. "Rip it up Alia. I need you because I love you." I almost choked on the words but I pressed forward. "I love you more than words can show. I think about you as much as humanly possible. Until the day I take my final breath this will be true, because there is no one I will ever love the way I love you."

"Why me why is it you love me?" I took a breath. "What's so special about me."

"I love you not for who you are but for who...for who I want to be when I am with you. Every moment I have spent with you is like a dream come true, you make me want to be a better...a better person. You make me want to buy you flowers and dance with you. I see you and I don't want to hurt you I want to hold you and keep you. I-Alia you are my first love, you are not my first for many but love, you are my first on that, and now that you have become my first...I hope to one day make you my last. I-I can't say much more Alia. You have my heart now please return it to it's cage or...or take care of it. You stole it now please." I got on my knees a position I never in my life had took. I grabbed her legs gently and rested my head on her stomach. "Take care of it." She pulled out of my grasp and I stood. I watched her eyes, for they are the doors to a persons soul. Her eyes mirrored my own they were frightened terrified even but in the backround was a softness I knew to be love. Suddenly the softness captured her whole eyes. She ran to me and I opened my arms to her. I winced as she wrapped around my hurt area but I put up with it she was in my arms again. She stood on her tip toes so she was by my ear.

"Can tell you a secert?"

"Go for it baby girl."

"You stole my heart too...that same day infact." I looked down at her with a smile. I nodded back to the store she had ran out of with a dress still on.

"Come on I'll pay for this dress to keep us out of jail...and then I'm taking you to prom." Alia smiled up at me. She squessed me tight. I sucked in my breath.

"Are you okay?"

"Never better you're back in my arms and so help me god I'm never letting you go again. Not ever."
