4. Hoshido

Reina: Thanks for the votes! And yes, Cori and Takumi will be embarrassed immensely.

When you arrived at Hoshido, you stepped out of the carriage and stretched your body, happy that you weren't sitting down. Once you were fully stretched, you start to walk forward, only to trip on a rock and fall on your hands.

"Ow!"

"(Y/N)! What happened?" Cora asked as she caught up to you.

"I tripped on a rock barefoot," you confess after a few seconds.

"You shouldn't have gotten rid of her shoes," Azura stated as she admonished Cora. "She's not used to being barefoot."

"But her shoes were ugly!" Cora protested.

You sigh and attempt to get up, but suddenly you were lifted off the ground and held bridal style.

"How about I carry you this way?" Cori asks as he starts to walk forward.

"Hey!" You protest.

"I just want to make sure that you're okay," he smiles.

You blush red and look away. You didn't want to tell him that you actually like getting carried that way, as you thought it was embarrassing.

Soon, you were in a spacious courtyard with lush green grass and cherry petals everywhere. You gaze in wonder, as you hadn't seen a place like this.

Pretty soon a castle came into view. It was bright and inviting - the complete opposite of the castle where the Nohrians lived.

"So this is Hoshido," Cora muttered.

Azura laughed. "I'm glad that you like it so far."

The other Hoshidan royals were waiting for you at the steps. As you and Cori got closer, Takumi smirked. You glared at him and flipped him off the second everyone else wasn't looking.

A beautiful woman with long black hair and a white kimono walked down the steps. "I'm glad that to see you all safe and sound." She turns to Cora and smiles. "Cora, welcome back."

"Who are you?" Cora asked.

Mikoto sighed unhappily. "Oh dear... My poor child..... I am Queen Mikoto, your mother."

"Mother...?" Cora asks in confusion.

Ryoma turned to Mikoto. "She's had a few rough days..... Maybe she'll remember soon."

Mikoto nodded in understanding. "Alright." It was then that she noticed you in Cori's arms. "Cori.... Did you kidnap this poor girl?"

Cori looked miffed as Hinoka and Ryoma began to laugh. "I didn't kidnap her!" He protests. "She lost her shoes, so I carried her here!"

Mikoto nodded, but Cori's face was red. Takumi snickered at his expression.

"Come," Mikoto declared. "Let's have dinner, and then we'll announce Cora's return."

At the dinner table, you were seated in between Cori and Cora. The servants ran around, offering different foods to everyone. Ryoma refused to eat lobster, Hinoka was eating an apple, Takumi was demanding pineapple juice, and Sakura was ignoring the cherries on her plate. Cori was eating corn, but Cora refused.

"Cori," Mikoto called.

"Yes Mother?"

"May I ask who your friend is?" She asks politely.

"My name is (F/N) (L/N)," you reply.

"Where are you from?"

"I hail from Anime Europe."

Mikoto nods. "What is Anime Europe like?"

"Well...." You think for a second. As you ponder for a second, you heard Mikoto laugh.

"Sorry," she apologizes. "It's just that your facial expression reminded me of stuff that Cori and Takumi did as four year olds."

Both Takumi and Cori pale. Ryoma notices this and laughs.

"When they were that age, one of them would distract the maids while the other ran into the kitchen and grabbed the cookies. And then we would find them hiding somewhere in the castle, eating all the cookies!"

"I remember that," Mikoto laughed. "I wondered why they stopped doing that...."

"I know why!" Hinoka declared mischievously.

"Hinoka..." Cori pleads, but Hinoka ignores him.

"I would always braid their hair right afterwards, because they were too busy eating!"

Everyone burst out laughing except for Takumi and Cori, who now wore red faces.

"No wonder!" Mikoto laughed. "I wish that you had done that more often...."

Ryoma wipes a tear from his eye. "Takumi, remember when you had a pineapple and Cori stole it from you?"

Takumi buried his face in his hands.

"He was swinging it around and attempting to hit the pigeons!"

"I did that?" Cori asks bewilderedly.

"Yep. Hinoka took it right afterwards and almost hit one."

"That was fun," she commented.

Mikoto laughed and stood up. "I have to get ready for the announcement tomorrow," she commented. "You get ready for bed."

"Yes Mother," everyone replied.

Mikoto smiled and left, leaving you with the Hoshidans. After some small talk, everyone got up to go sleep.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" Cora called.

You turn and face her. "Yes?"

"Azura is going to show us to our rooms."

You nod. "Right."

And with that, you followed Cora down the hallway, allowing you to spend your first night in Hoshido.

Reina: I want to allow Mikoto to live..... Is that wrong?
