Chapter 3

It was Monday morning, and I was admiring my ring in History. I went to a public high school, and my normality soon would disappear here.

My thoughts were zoned out, until I heard the word, 'princess'. I snapped back to reality, to realize, the class HAD to be talking about the royal engagement.

"So, the royal engagement," Started our teacher, Mr. Hugo.

Just as those words left his mouth, Rosie's, hand shot up in the air. She was such an air head.

"Yes, Rosie?" asked Mr. Hugo.

"The unknown princess is probably a slut." She declared. "I mean, just take a look at Prince Caleb's mother..."

"Rosie!" The class gasped. It wasn't in anyone's best interest to trash talk the royal family.

That comment surely made me mad. She had no good reason to say that.

"Well, when you think about it," said another girl, Lisa. "All the royal women are pretty flawed."

Well duh...who isn't?

"The princess is probably REALLY ugly." said a boy named Josh.

What?!

"Imagine if she heard us!" said Rosie.

"Yeah," began Lisa. "I wonder how'd she fight back."

"She probably can't do anything for herself." said another kid in my class. I didn't want to know who, I was just boiling.

"Shut up!" I screamed, jumping up from my seat.

It was all silent. Everyone turned to look at me.

"Have anything ELSE to say?" asked Mr. Hugo.

Nope, I was kinda hoping that 'shut up' would be enough. I sat back down.

"Sorry, Mr. Hugo." I said, blushing.

Some kids laughed.

"Someone seems really sensitive." said Lisa.

"Yeah, is the princess like, your sister or cousin, or something?" Asked Josh.

"Maybe it's her!" exclaimed another kid.

The class broke into hysterics and I blushed. I also made sure to hide my right hand so no one would see the ring. I never felt more embarrassed in class, never.
