A/N: Hey guys! I'm sorry this update took so long /: I finally found some time. Soo I have a few things to say. First, I regret to say this, but updates will be super slow. I'm in the second half of the semester so classes have gotten a lot more intense. Second, I'd really like some feeback. Please? I know I have a few people following this story and I'd really like to know how I'm doing. Okay lastly, enjoy the chapter! :) and sorry for any errors. 

I woke up exhausted from a restless night. I kept waking up to a storm of emotions raging inside me. I was anxious, miserable, angry, wistful, and confused. Something must be seriously wrong with my body chemistry, most likely caused by all the stress I was going through. I couldn’t leave my home without the fear of having another unfortunate encounter with Psylas. He was definitely not going to leave me alone, not until he accomplishes his sick desire. But I can’t live a life hiding in fear from him. I will not let him rule my life. Plus, I had Vince on my side. He promised he wouldn’t let anything happen to me and I trust him with my life. Vince…I let out a gentle sigh at the thought of him. He may not be my soul mate, but he holds a special place in my heart. Another storm of emotion raged through me briefly. What in the…what is going on with me? My eyes widened with shock when I came to the realization of what was going on. It was Dante. It had to be him. These fits of emotions were not mine, but what could possibly be wrong with him? He made it very clear, clear as water that he did not want nor need me around. He even had the audacity to threaten to kill me! Still… even the mere thought of him has my heart racing faster than a race horse on crack. I hope he’s safe. Of course he’s safe he’s a freaken immortal! Stop worrying about him and get ready for work! I rubbed my temples trying to subdue the headache that was starting to form.

I was grateful for the busy day at work. I didn’t have time to day dream about deep blue eyes. Vince also helped make my day better with his comedic remarks. Surprisingly, things were very normal and natural between us. I knew his big secret and he knew mine and nothing changed, we are still the best of friends. Well, maybe a little more than friends, since he’s made it a habit to kiss my forehead when he greets me and when we part ways. I can’t lie to myself, I like and welcome his affections. It was nice knowing someone really cared and didn’t think I was a “disgraceful woman”. Again, how could Dante have been so cruel!

“An, Sunshine you totally destroyed that cup.”

I looked down at my hand stunned to find that I had indeed crushed the empty cup I had in my hand. Crap. How could I let my emotions get the best of me like that! Especially on a busy day like this!

“I-I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me.”

Vince had a nervous look on his face. “It’s o…” He was cut off by an angry female customer. She was a pretty blond with a heart-shaped face and blue eyes.

“Are you kidding me? Have you lost your mind? Seriously who does that crap?”

Vince stiffened, but then turned to face her and gave her his most charming smile. “I’m sorry miss. I’ll personally make sure you get your drink right away.” He winked at her at the end before he got started on her drink. The customer blushed. Of course she wouldn’t be able to resist his charm. No woman can. Lauren, my next favorite coworker after Vince came up to me. Concern was written all over her face. She was a tall, lovely blond with wild curly hair and pretty pale blue eyes.

“Hey An, are you okay?”

“I just have a lot on my mind. I let my emotions get the best of me, but it won’t happen again. Sorry I caused a scene…”

“Don’t worry about it. That girl was a bitch. I’m more concerned about you; we’re all concerned about you. We know you’ve been throw… a lot. You should take a break.”
