The next morning everything seemed peaceful in the valley and none of the masters had encountered any bandits during the night leading Shifu to believe that whoever had been attacking the village at night had finally packed up and left.
The five, Shifu and a half awake Po were sitting in the kitchen having breakfast when Zeng came in carrying a box roughly the same size as him. He was about to drop it on the table when he lost balance and nearly knocked Shifu's breakfast all over him but was luckily caught by Shifu's staff.
"Package... F.. For... Tigress.." Zeng gasped out while sitting on the floor out of breath.
"Me? You're sure it's for me?" Tigress said with the most confused look.
"Yeah it has your name on it, whose it from." Viper asked.
"I.. Don't know." Tigress replied slowly inspecting the package.
"Well open it!!!" Po said who had remarkably perked up as he missed two hours of sleep that night.
She opened it and found a note in the top of something wrapped in cloth.
"What does it say?" Crane asked.
Tigress passed the note to Monkey who read it out as Tigress unwrapped the gift.
The note read:
"Dear Tigress, you must be so confused as to who I am and why I am sending you this gift. I promise you will see for yourself what my identity is this evening. I hope I won't be intruding on any plans you have but I will arrive at the Jade Palace at 6 and I hope we can become better acquainted"
All the masters were confused and the gift didn't really give any clues to who this person was.
Tigress held up a gold/yellow long sleeved shirt which held a identical pattern that her own red short sleeved shirt had but red not black.
"WHOAAAAAA!! that is TOTALLY AWESOME!!" Cried Po "It's like BAM right in your face, elegant, BUT FOR A WARRIOR! Whoever this person is they have good style!"
"It is nice." Tigress simply said.
"Not to burst anyone's bubble but maybe we shouldn't be too welcoming to this person, it might be a trick y'know, get into the Jade Palace, send a gift to Tigress so she lets her guard down" Mantis piped up.
"That is true, we will all be ready when this stranger arrives this evening, do not let your guard down but do not make assumptions. If this person is not a bandit it would be very disrespectful and inappropriate to attack them on site." Shifu added.
"I feel like I have a connection with this person though... Something deeper." Tigress said.
"I hope we will gain answers this evening, as for now... It's time for training" Shifu said ending his sentence with a small grin as he had some challenges for the sleepy panda.
After training all the students retired to the barracks to rest and tend to any injuries obtained from their particularly challenging training session which could only be described to involve nunchucks, balancing and slim poles to stand on.
After tigress looked at a small wound on her upper arm she got the gold/yellow shirt out again and decided whether it would be a good idea to try it on.
"It may make you look more heroic, a new outfit doesn't have to make you more girly" Viper said as she entered the felines room and closed the door. "Don't be afraid of it. Enemies may be caught of guard by the bright colour as they're use to looking out for dark red, just try it!" She smiled and left as Tigress nodded and went to changing into the new shirt.
As evening approached Shifu, Po and the five stood in the hall of heroes waiting for this mysterious person the show up, including Tigress in the new shirt she had been gifted as she thought it would be disrespectful to not wear it when meeting the person who sent it.
Po got bored of waiting after 10 minutes and decided to amuse himself by challenging monkey to a race of whoever could lick their elbow first which ended in Po falling onto Monkey and them both gaining disapproving looks from Shifu.
As they both stood up the door began to open and the Jade Palace masters remained calm but kept alert in case of any sudden attack. When their eyes adjusted to the light they was all greeted by the hooded figure.
"We saw you last night!" Po exclaimed. "How are you still standing after climbing all those stairs in that cloak!"
The stranger earned a gasp from all the masters and a squawk of fear from Zeng behind a pillar when they removed their hood. "I didn't climb." she answered, "I ran."
A/N
Sorry for slow update! I've been super busy preparing for a show I have this weekend and whenever I had free time I've mostly spent watching films with my mum or listening to her moan at me about getting a job... Which I really cba doing. It also doesn't help that I'm socially awkward around new people. I'd probably get fired for being too shy.
Who do you think this person is?
Could it be a niece of a farmer who once sold dumplings to a shop keeper who sold them to a trade person who gave them to Shifu's brothers ex's father who then gave them to Po who shared them with the five INCLUDING TIGRESS!?!?!!?!?!?!?I don't know.
