Puniksha ki Vidaai

Devaki's POV
It was 10 pm.
"Girls, tum log ghar jao Sidd k paas ham rukte h" Sumedh Sir said. "Nhi Sir, inke paas me rukti hu. Vese bhi me ek din Gurukul nhi jaunghi to its fine lekin teachers ka ek din na hona, boht fark padega h" I said. They nodded and everyone left, leaving me and Siddharth Sir in the hospital.

"Devaki ek baat poochu?" Siddharth Sir asked. I nodded. "Tumhe ajeeb nhi lagta, ek ladke k saath poori raat ek hi room me rehna?" He asked. I lowered my eyes. "Ladka konsa paraya h" I said. He cocked his eyebrow. "I...I...I mean me...me jaanti to hu aapko..." I said. "Devaki...jaanti bhi hi kya keh rhi ho?" He asked controlling his laughter. Even I didn't know what was I saying. "Urgghh...!! Goodnight Sir!!" I said switching off the lights. He chuckled and we both fall asleep.

Sumedh's POV
Before the start of the lesson, Devaki called me and told that doctors were discharging Siddharth in the afternoon. That was a good news, but I had a bad news as well.

I checked Anatomy papers and gave them back to students. Everyone was happy except of one student: Bandana. This time she got 33%! I was damn shocked when I checked her paper.

In between I even thought of ignoring some mistakes. I didn't do it tough, but...I don't know what happened to me.

When I gave back the papers, she wasn't really surprised, but she was a bit sad.

It was the end of the lesson.

"Bandana, listen! Tumse kucch baat krni h...Diksha you can go" I said. Everyone left, Bandana and I were the only two people left in the room.

"Kya tha woh?" I asked. She was looking down. "Woh..." She said. "Look up!" I said. She looked at me. "Pta nhi Sir" She said and lowered her eyes again. I made her sit. "Tumhare paas revise krne k kie time kam tha ya fir topic hi samajh nhi aya?" I asked. "Topic mushkil tha" She replied. I nodded.

"Look, me tumhara test ek baar firse lena chahta hu. Yeh topic boht important h isi lie" I said. She nodded. We decided to revise the topic, Genetics.

I wanted to start from an example. It was science so it's easy to memorise if examples are given.

"Ok so there are two people, actually couple h: A aur B. A ki eyes ka colour h brown aur B ki eyes h grey...no actually ese tum confuse ho jaoghi" I said. I thought for a while.

"Yeah I got one! Your eyes are...?" I asked. "Brown" She said. "And my eyes are...?" I asked. She kept quiet. "Bandana...? My eyes are...?" I asked again. "I...I don't know" She said in a low voice. "Are to dekho na meri aankho me" I said. She slightly looked up. I got close to her. She looked in my eyes. We had an eye lock. Suddenly I heard 'Manali Trance'.

Bandana got back to reality and looked at her phone. It was ringing and 'Manali Trence' was her ringtone, like seriously? A girl that was always quiet has Manali Trance as her ringtone!?

"Haan bol?" She said. "Yaar woh, lesson tha...ek ghante me aa rhi hu...haan...bye" She said.

We got back to the lesson.

"Green" Bandana answered my question. I wrote green and brown on the board. "Now...meri aankhe green, tumhari brown...ab suppose kro k hamare baccho ho, to unki aankhe kis colour ki honghi?" I asked all of a sudden. She widened her eyes and her face turned red like a tomato.

I bit my lower lip. "Sorry...ehmm...its just an example" I said. She smiled and lowered her eyes.

I explained her how to calculate it and she learnt it quickly.

In half an hour we finished the lesson. I dropped her home.

When I got back home, I saw Siddharth. He got discharged. Punyakar and I sat with him and we chatted for some minutes.

"Accha fir Devaki ne kucch zada hi acche se khayal rakkha na tera? Tabhi jaldi thik ho gaya" Punyakar said. He blushed. "To ab yeh blushing bhi seekh gaya?" I asked. "Ok guys, jokes apart...I think I'm actually in love with her" He said. We were laughing and then we became serious.

It was good; we were happy for him. Devaki is a nice girl. "To kab propose kar raha h use?" I asked. "Don't know...yehi problem h" He replied.
Diksha's POV
It was night. Before bed I wanted to tell Bandana and Devaki about something that wasn't really pleasant. "Bandana, Devaki woh...tum logo ko kucch btana tha" I said in a low voice. "Haan bta na" Devaki said. I sat next to them. "Yeh dekho" I said giving them a letter.

They read it. They were really happy but then suddenly their face turned sad.
"Means you have to leave?" Bandana asked. I nodded. It was my admission letter. I got a scholarship in Oxford University so I had to leave for London. Punyakar Sir was leaving as well, since he had the admission in the same University for his Masters in Music.

We went to our rooms and slept.

Punyakar's POV
Sumedh and Siddharth weren't really happy with my admission in Oxford University, but they wanted me to be happy so they were supporting me.

In one week Diksha and I prepared to leave and everyone came to drop us at the airport. Everyone was crying. I hugged them and we two left. It was damn difficult but we had to. And we were getting back in holidays so it wasn't a vanvaas.

*After a month...*
Devaki's POV
Finally after much struggle, Bandana and I earned the amount of money we needed to buy our dream house.

We did all the payments and paper work.

It was a Thursday. We shifted to our new house, actually bungalow.

It was like a dream come true for us.

We were hell tired when we did all the setting.

I saw a car in the garden: "Bahar woh car kiski h?" I asked to Bandana. "Meri h" Bandana said. I widened my eyes. "Tere paas itne pese kaha se ae?" I asked shockingly as the car was a red 'range rover evoque'. "Yaar woh last 'Player of the Match' ka cheque mila tha na, usi k the" Bandana replied.

"Kesi lagi?" Bandana asked giving me a nudge. "Kutti!! Party de ab!" I said punching her. She chuckled and nodded.

It was dinner time. We had dinner and then watched some tv. Everyone was happy. Bandana was still looking sad and I knew the reason. I sat next to her and consoled her. She smiled. She was trying to be happy infront of everyone but inside she was really sad.
