Sumedh's weird proposal

Bandana's POV
I was watching tv when Sumedh Sir came in the sitting room. I stood up and turn off the tv.

"Bandana kucch laya tha tumhare lie" He said giving me a small bag. "Really? Kya h Sir?" I asked with an ear to ear smile. I was excited.

I opened the bag. There was a small box in it. I opened the box. I was so happy to see what was in the box: it had a small and thin silver nose ring with a crystal gem diamante.

"Ohh God!! Sir!! This is so beautiful!! Thank you so much!...But...But I'm really sorry me ise abhi nhi pehen sakti...hamare yaha ise shaadi k baad hi pehnte h" I said. "I know I know. Lekin agar tum chaho to ise jaldi pehen sakti ho" He said. "Woh kese?" I asked. "Shaadi krke" He replied. I chuckled. "Kya Sir? Abhi kon krega mujhse shaadi?" I asked. "Me hu na...me krunga...agar tum haan kro to" He said all of a sudden. I made a serious face. Then I started laughing. "Kya Sir, kucch bhi? Mazak krne k lie aapko me hi mili?" I asked. "Mazak? Nhi...me serious hu" He said.

I stopped laughing. "I...I love you Bandana...mujhse...mujhse shaadi kroghi?" He asked. I was standing all numb. I wanted to say yes!! Like immediately...but...but I knew the consequences.

I ran to my room and locked the door. I sat on the ground and brokedown. Devaki came to me. "Bandana? Kya hua? Roh kyu rahi h?" She asked worringly. I was just crying. Finally she wiped my tears. "Devaki...he...he loves me...woh shaadi krna chahte h mujhse" I replied. She smiled. "To pagal roh kyu rahi h? Tujhe to kushi se pagal hona chahiye!!!" She said. I shook my head. "Gharwale nhi manenghe yaar..." I said. I was crying. Devaki made a serious face as she understood my problem. She made me sit on the bed and gave me a glass of water.

"Dekh gharwalo ko mnana prega na? Tu itni si baat k lie Sumedh Sir jese ladke ko mana nhi kar sakti" She said.

Her phone rang so she went from there.

Devaki's POV
Sumedh Sir called me so I went to his room. Siddharth was there as well.

"To kya reason btaya usne?" Sumedh Sir asked. I told him what Bandana said.

"Ohh...yeh to problem ho gey yaar, ab kya hoga?" He asked. "Bandana is not good for you! Rehne de! She is a boy you know" Siddharth said. Sumedh Sir cocked his eyebrow. "Aur nhi to kya? Kapre larko wale pehnti h, cricket larko jesa khelti h, bolti larko jese h, chalti bhi larko jese h, aur to aur larko jese bethti bhi h!!" He said. Well, he was right actually...Bandana does all that.

"Dekh tu rehne de..." Sumedh Sir said. "Ya to Bandana meri hogi ya fir tum dono ki shaadi bhi cancel!!" He said. "Accha chal sorry...sochne de" Siddharth said.

"Dekh...door door takk ek hi raasta dikh raha h mujhe to" Siddharth said. "Kya?" We asked in unision. "Bandana k parents love marriage k khilaaf h na? Agar tere parents unse jaake rishte ki baat kre to arranged marriage ho jaegi! Tab to koi problem nhi hogi na" Siddharth explained. What a plan! I was proud of him!

"Tera plan bilkul thik h...lekin Aai-Baba ko aane me kaafi time lag jaega..." Sumedh Sir said. "Haan to tab tak aap Bandana ko mnane ki koshish kijie" I said. He nodded.

Suddely someone knocked the door. We opened the door, it was Bandana. She came in. "Woh...mujhe kal jaana hoga" She said. "Kaha?" We three yelled in unision. "Punjab" She replied. "Punjab? Kyu?" I asked. "Mere cousin h na Yash Bhai, unki shaadi h, to mujhe jaana hoga. Devaki tu chal rahi h na mere saath?" She asked. I immediately nodded as I loved Punjab and Punjabis. "Me bhi aunga" Siddharth said. Bandana happily agreed.

"Mujhe bhi aana h!" Sumedh Sir said. "Lekin me aapko saathme lekar nhi jaunghi" Bandana said. "Please Bandana, me accha baccha ban k rahunga" He said. We laughed. "Ha ha very funny" Bandana said.

"Bandana aane do na...vese bhi iske bagher sab kucch adhoora lagega" Siddharth said. She finally agreed.

We left Sumedh Sir's room.

We had to book the tickets so we opened the laptop. Bandana checked the tickets. "Plane ki tickets k rates to aasmaan choo rhe h...aur next week ki h. Train se jaana prega" She said. "Pagal ho kya? Train se boht time lagega...aur woh safe bhi nhi h! Sumedh kabhi nhi manega!" Siddharth said. "To unhe aap mnaoghe" She replied. She booked the tickets. "Bandana kitna time lgega?" I asked. "Umm, 27 hrs" She said. I rolled my eyes. 27 hrs!!! It was damn long!!

It was night so we went to our rooms. Bandana and I were laying on the bed when I started talking about Sumedh Sir.

"Dekh seedhi seedhi baat h...me unse rishta kabhi nhi rakhunghi" She said. "Aur seedhi seedhi baat h, ham tera rishta judwa k rahenghe" I said. She rolled her eyes. "Devaki tu to meri baat samajh! Mujhe apni nhi Sir ki fikar h. Look, simple si baat h, na me khud musabit me parunghi na hi apni jaan ko prne dunghi" She said and turned off the lights. I thought for a while. "Na khud parunghi aur apni jaan ko...ek hi to baat h...khud aur uski jaan...jaan...Sumedh Sir? Ahh...this girl!!" I thought. I jumped on her. "Oye!!! You love him na? Kha meri kasam!!!!" I said. "Kutti!! Itni zor se jump maarta h koi?" She asked. I chuckled. "Nhi tu baat ko palat mat" I said. There was a two minutes silence in the room. "Teri kasam...I love him so much! Isi lie to keh rahi hu...unka bhala hi chahti hu me" She said. Ok, that was enough. Now we had to do everything, no problem!

Before sleeping, I texted all this to Siddharth and then fall asleep.

The next morning we got ready and left for the station. Sumedh Sir wasn't really happy with our decision. "Tum ab mere saath rahogi!" He said to Bandana. "Kyu? Aap kon hote ho mujhe yeh kehne wale?" Bandana said rudely. "Yaha sabke saamne btau kon hota hu? Sidd tu Devaki ko ek second k lie bhi mat chodna aur me is laraku k paas rehta hu" He said. We chuckled and Bandana tried to control her smile.
