Me and Jeremiah had been dating one day and luckily both of us were still alive. Today was me and my friends annual Christmas meet up at our favorite local pizza tavern. This is the time where exchanged notes. Instead of going out and buying presents with money we just write sweet little notes to each other. I was excited for two reason. One reason is its Jeremiah's first time doing this with us and the other reason I'm excited is me and Jeremiah are telling my friends were together.
I was in the car with Christy and I knew she could tell I was hiding somethings from her. She kept asking me questions. I could see that she was starting to get worried about me. "Christy don't worry everything is fine. Everything will present itself soon." I said as we got out of the car. "It better present itself very soon Mia. You know when you hide stuff from me it makes me worried about you." She said. I sighed. "I know Chrissy." I said. We walk over to where are friends are sitting and Kelsey hopes up out of her seat to greet us. "You guys are late!!" She said coming to hug us both. "Better late than never." I say to her. She gives me a look that says shut up. Jersey then comes over to us and gives us both hugs. Over his shoulder I see Jeremiah smiling at me. This was going to happen today. After we stuffed ourselves with pizza and we had all given each other our hand written notes I looked over at Jeremiah and I knew it was time to tell them. I felt nervous about telling them because I had no idea how they would react. Someone might be happy and the other might not like it. "Guys." I said getting their attention. "I have some really amazing news." I said taking a deep breathe. They all waited and expectantly for me to continue. "As of yesterday me and Jeremiah are now dating." Immediately after I say both Christy and Kelsey jump up scream and then hug me. Soon after that I'm being forced to give every single detail about last night. As I'm telling them everything I look over at Jeremiah and Jersey. It looked as if they were having a heated conversation and that made me just a little worried. For the rest of the night Jeremiah acted strange. In the end Jeremiah decided he would take me home in his car. As we were driving to my house I said "I think everyone was really happy for us." I said taking my hand in his. "Yeah..." He said not very convincingly. "Jeremiah that isn't very convincing. Is something wrong?" I ask trying to figure out what is going on in his head. "Everything's fine Jersey just said a couple things that made me feel uneasy." He said. "What did he say?" I question. "He was just looking out for that's all. It's okay Mia." He said. I just nodded. I didn't try and find out more. I knew there was more to the story but I decided to trust Jeremiah and if there was more he wanted to share with me he would share it. As we pulled up to my house I saw that all the lights were on and then I remembered tonight is family game night. "Hey Jeremiah you're more than welcome to come inside. I'm sure my family would love to meet you." I said. I looked at him and he looked unsure. "Would that be okay?" He asked. "Yes! It'll be fun!" I say getting him to follow me into the house. We both go into the living room where everyone is on the floor playing a board game. "Hey Mia!" My Aunt Beth says smiling. She then looks behind me and her face falls. "Who is this?" She asks. All of the sudden I feel like having Jeremiah meet my family wasn't such a good idea.
