The clouds overhead rolled slowly over the castle, allowing only dull, gray streaks of light through the windows of the grand hallway. Vire fluttered down the corridor, disrupting the quiet. Then he turned, and slammed open the throne room doors.
"Master Regis!" He yelled in a high, raspy voice.
From upon the throne sat Prince Regis, wearing his usual bored expression. "Vire," He answered absent mindedly.
"We cannot find the princess!" Vire immediately explained, remembering to bow his head.
Without looking up, Regis grimaced. "I figured that would be the case," He sighed, and looked down. "I would like her here, but she is not needed until we find the Master Sword. Now, regarding the attack in the square." Regis stood, and walked down the steps toward the deck.
"Ah! Yes!" Vire's head snapped up. "No one was strong enough for the Count, but there was one woman who was able to injure him, and take out most of the blin army. However, we managed to outnumber, and capture her. She is in the dungeon now."
Regis opened the glass doors leading to the deck, letting a chill wind in. "But the one we were searching for... was he not there?" The prince asked.
Vire lowered his head again. "I'm afraid not, your majesty."
The prince gazed over the city, and frowned at its destruction. The staged attack was over, and screams could no longer be heard, but pillars of smoke continued to rise here and there.
"No matter." He finally decided. "He can't hide for long. In the meanwhile, let's go visit our guest."
That immediately brought up Vire's spirits. "Oh, yes, sire! Let me bring you to her!"

Link looked up at the gloomy sky in Lake Hylia, concerned. "Do you think it'll rain?" He asked Zelda.
Zelda clicked her tongue. "I hope not. But come, if it does, we need to get to Impa's hiding location before it we get caught in it."
The two walked up the quiet path beside the great lake. Then Link asked, "Zelda, why didn't you just hide in that shack? Isn't your brother unaware of it?"
Zelda nodded. "Yes, but it is connected to the library within the castle. It's only a matter of time before Regis finds it, which would lead him straight to me if I stayed here. That's why we're headed to a village near North Hyrule Field."
Lake Hylia was several times larger than the Castle Town, and Link wondered how long it would take to get around it, and up to East Hyrule Field. But as he was wondering, he spotted something ahead.
"Here we are. This will take us to the village." Zelda informed him, gesturing to a horse drawn carraige.
When the two approached it, a middle aged man with a top hat and dark skin greeted them. "Princess, I have awaited you." He said, taking off his hat, and bowing to her. "This must be the one Impa told me about." He assumed, turning to Link.
"Ah, yes. This is Link." said Zelda. "Link, this is Bian, an associate of Impa's, and former servant of my fathers."
When Link shook hands with Bian, he noticed the man's eyes; they were the familiar shade of red.
"A pleasure to meet you, Sir Link!"
Link laughed nervously. "Oh no, it's just Link!"
