"Wow." I said once we'd surfaced from our haze of asphyxiation.
"Wow." She agreed.
"We just..."
"We did."
After our kiss, we quickly put Winnie to bed, which leads us to our current predicament.
"My parents can't know about this." She said, still catching her breath. "Neither can my sisters."
"Or my brothers." I agreed.
We remained silent for a while, turned towards each other in the dark.
"Wanna be my girlfriend or nah?" I asked.
"If that's what it's like being your girl, definitely."
"Looks like you're my girlfriend than." I smiled. "Your dad already told me he wants me to date you. So did your mum."
"Good." She smiled, getting dressed again. "They'll be home soon, so we should probably get downstairs and act as if we didn't just do that."
"Yep." I agreed, redressing myself.
"You're a spectacular lay by the way." She grinned giddily.
"Why thank you Miss. Wynters, you're quite good yourself." I smirked, slapping her arse.
"Getting a bit cheeky are we Mr. Harrison?" She giggled, leaning in to kiss me.
"Always." I grinned, connecting my lips with hers.
"Jake! West! We're home!" Tom called from downstairs.
We ran out of my room and down the stairs into the kitchen where we saw everyone standing.
"We didn't hear you pull up." Jake said.
"Why?" Kelly asked. "More importantly how?"
"We were playing call of duty on my Xbox. Using the tv in Jakes room." I rushed out.
"We had headsets on and the volume was fairly high." Jake added.
"Okay... No need to get all worked up. Is Winnie sleeping?"
"She should be, we put her to bed before we started playing." I said.
"Okay, good. It's getting late so everyone go to bed, Jake and West, can we please talk to you for a moment in the man cave." Tom said.
Everyone went upstairs and we followed Kelly and Tom to the man cave.
"Be honest. What were you really doing before we got here?" Kelly asked.
Both Jake and I went an unnatural shade of red.
"Ohhh, so that's what you were doing... The ol' bump and grind, aye?" Tom asked. "Don't worry, we're not mad. We saw it coming. Actually Kelly you owe me fifty bucks. We had a bet, I said within a week you'd be banging, she gave you's an extra three weeks." He laughed.
"Mum! You were betting on when west and I'd end up in bed together!?" Jake said, shocked.
"Everyone in the family was. We all owe your father twenty dollars." She shrugged. "Any way, we also heard you become boyfriend and girlfriend... What with these paper thin walls... We were thinking since two of the boys have to share a room... Maybe if you two shacked up together in jakes room, everyone can be separate."
"I'm cool with that, West?" Jake said.
"Yeah, sure. I'll move all my shit into Jakes room tomorrow." I said.
"Good. You can go now." Tom dismissed. "Oh, and I'm too young for grandchildren, so use protection every time you shag."
"Yes dad." Jake said at the same time I said, "Yes Tom."
We walked out of the man cave, hand in hand, up to Jake's room.
"Looks like we're roommates." Jake smirked. "First order of business, anything you want to change and or add to the room?"
I looked around at her room. Black walls, band posters, sports posters, framed shirts, shelves of trophies, medals, awards and ribbons... It's perfect.
"It's epic, I'm heading up to Sydney next holidays to get my stuff, so I'll have my trophies and medals and shit, so it'll be easier when all that is here so we can mix everything together kind of. So then the room is both a representation of you, but also of me at the same time, I've got a few things that'd add some small pops of colour and could potentially add to the general atmosphere of the room." I shrugged.
"Is that interior design knowledge I hear?" She asked.
"Mum was an interior designer, she would always go on about shit like that, so I may have picked up some stuff." I shrugged.
"Really? That's cool. The only weird thing about me was I was born in the tool shed out back. All my sisters were born in the hospital, but I just wanted to get out and they wouldn't have time, so I was born in the tool shed." She smiled.
"I was born on a private jet that was flying over Ukraine, they made a landing in Kiev and mum got taken to the hospital. I was actually born on the plane. Of course we came back to Sydney when I was old enough to fly, but I was born in Ukraine. I know the language even though I was only there until I was like, one." I rambled.
"That's really cool." She smiled.
"Yeah... I really want to go back one day." I sighed, flopping back onto the bed.
"Teach me a bit of Ukrainian." She said, straddling my waist.
"Pryvit, ya Dzheyk, miy khlopetsʹ naykrutishyy khlopetsʹ u vsʹomu vsesviti." I said.
"Pryvit, ya Dzheyk, miy khlopetsʹ naykrutishyy khlopetsʹ u vsʹomu vsesviti." She responded.
"You just said: Hi, I'm Jake, my boyfriend is the coolest guy in the whole universe."
"That is a very true fact." She smiled.
