Months passed and everything was in place. Seven months had passed in fact, Jake had to do school online, but she would still come to watch the team play.
Tomorrow is the first of May, meaning I'll be seventeen and Sammie will be two.
I have no idea what Jake is planning, but she's been sneaking around a lot.
Year eleven has been good. I've been ahead in all of my classes and all my teachers are wondering how, considering I've got a daughter to look after and a son on the way.
Oh and we found out that the baby's a boy. Radley Hawthorne Harrison.
We decided Autumn themed names because he's due to be born around the end of May to the end of April, or in other words, mid to late Autumn in Australia.
"West, may I please talk to you for a moment?" The new head of extra curricular sports and physical education, Mr. Winslow asked.
"Sure, sir." I said, walking into his office. "What do you need?"
"Will you be dropping out of school after your child is born? You know, to help out."
"Not as of yet, no. Why?" I asked.
"How 'bout dropping any extra curricular activities?" He asked.
"No, not as of yet... Why are you asking these questions?"
"There's scouts. For national teams, they've been asking about it because they know that this is your second child. If you start online schooling and just playing for the basketball team, they're willing to offer you contracts." He paused. "It's just a thought I'm putting out there. I understand that you're very young, and I also understand how hard a decision this is going to be, however it's a very good opportunity. I just thought I'd be something you'd like to think about. At the end of the day it comes down to what's best for your family. Clearly it's not the easiest being a seventeen year old father, soon to be father of two and this decision is adding more pressure, but I do hope you'll discuss this with Jake."
"You really think I'm good enough to play on a national team?" I asked.
"I do. And I've talked to your passed coaches and they all know how good you are and how devoted you are to the game. I know you play many sports, but I've noticed your quite good at basketball in particular. It's just an option." He reminded.
"Yeah, obviously... I'll think about it. It sounds like a good idea." I said. "Is there anything else?"
"Congratulations on your little boy, I'm sure he'll grow up to be just like his dad, a great basketball star." He grinned.
"I hope so. I'll love him whether he likes basketball or not, but it'd be good if he liked it. It'd be a family thing we could do. Sammie-J has been taking a liking to it, so it'd be great." I smiled.
"Oh and as a present, set up by the whole team as a birthday gift, we got these made up." He opened up his drawer and pulled out two small shirts. "These are for your kids." They were basketball jerseys for the school team, they had Harrison and 11 on it, which was my number.
"They're epic, I'll have to send my thanks to the guys this afternoon at the game. Sammie-J's gonna love 'em, so will Rad, when he's, ya know, born and knows to a certain extent what it is." I laughed.
"That's all. Once again congratulations."
"Thanks, I'll see you at the game tonight Winslow." I smiled.
"You know it Harrison."
I walked out of his office, holding the two shirts.
"West!" Jake yelled as Sammie yelled "Daddy!"
"Hey babe. You here for the game? You're a bit early." I smiled picking up Sammie.
"Yeah, I haven't seen anyone in a while though, so I thought I'd come give the team a pep talk." She smiled, giving me a short but sweet kiss.
"They've been missing you. So it's good you decided to come early." I smiled. "C'mon, I'll take you to the court, they're practicing."
We walked to the court and the whole team cheered when they saw Jake and Sammie.
"Well, well... If it isn't Jake Holden Wynters and Samantha-Jayne Rose Adelaide Harrison." Ezra said shaking his head. "It's been too long since I saw two of my favourite girls."
"Well, that's what I get for being a narwhal." She smiled, pulling him into a hug.
"Isn't the expression, turning into a whale?" He questioned.
"Yeah, but I'm a narwhal because I'm cooler than those preggo wannabe whales." She said smugly.
"Of course you are." He said rolling his eyes.
"Anyway, I'm here to give a pre game pep talk. So get your arses over here!" She yelled.
"Damn girl. Hakuna yo tatas." Jack said.
"Wynters, shut your mouth or I'll make sure you'll never have children." She glared. "Okay boys. We had a long year last year. But we won the championship game, we can get there again, y'all just gotta get up off your arses and believe you can make it. I'll tell you right here right now, if any of you want to be involved in my child's life, and that includes you West, you're gonna win that game tonight."
"Boys win that god damn game or God so help you I will crush your dreams and your balls. I ain't loosing my son because of you people." I glared.
We ended up wining the game and one month later Radley Hawthorn Harrison was born at the hospital in town. Since then everything's gone well. I accepted the offer that Mr. Winslow presented to me after much discussion with Jake and now I'm on the Australian men's basketball team.
Turns out living with ten and upwards girls is pretty easy.
I'm with the love of my life and I've got my two beautiful kids, nothing could possibly compare to this.
