"I want Oatmeal Pies!!" Gianna yelled sitting in a shopping cart full of groceries.
"You'll eat what I buy you big baby!" Leah said back pushing the cart. The girls were out buying groceries for their new house in San Diego.

"I'm so glad we got out of that dusty old apartment Leah. I am a princess and I deserve the finer things!" said Gianna. "You better be lucky daddy found a very well paying job or else you'd be stuck at that bar still trying to come up with your half of the rent"

Gianna was a little annoyed "Can you PLEASE call her by her real name??" All Leah could do was laugh "Well speaking of the devil.." she said answering her phone. "Hey babe". It was her soul mate, her new fiancé Ava.

"You better not have a cart full of junk food" Ava responded.

"Its was all Gianna's idea! We've got some healthy stuff in here somewhere."

"Yeah yeah whatever. I get off at 8 o'clock. Dinner tonight?"

"You know how Gi feels about being home alone." Leah said nervously.

"They'll be someone there for her. Go home, get cute, and I'll see you two later."

Leah didn't mention anything about the blind date because her best friend was one picky bitch! She knew Gianna wouldn't go for it and she was desperate to celebrate their new life. So the best friends checked out and hurried home.

After hours of endless dancing in the mirror, outfit switches and makeup mess ups, the girls finally headed out to meet Ava at a new restaurant called The Penthouse. In the car on the way there Leah felt the need to tell Gianna she was being set up. She hadn't even asked questions about the guy. After a few minutes, she killed the silence. "Sooooo you still into guys too right Gi?" Leah asked nervously.

"I mean yeah of course, Why?" Gianna responded not looking up from her phone.

"Because there's a date waiting for you at this restaurant."

Gianna was instantly pissed, "BITCH STOP THIS CAR!"

"NO!! Girl I'm trying to get you some dick"

"You know I don't take dick from any old busted ass nigga!"

"BITCH HE WORKS WITH AVA. This busted ass nigga making serious money"

Gianna got quiet. Her inner gold digger was speaking to her.

"OKAY FINE." she finally agreed. "His ass better be other 6ft and CHOCOLATE honey!"

Gianna sat there with the meanest mug on her face and her arms folded, pouting. Leah laughed pulling into a parking space, "Girl he's not gonna want a lil baby. Act right."

Walking into the restaurant the girls were quickly escorted into their own section. Ava and Gianna's mystery man were both looking out the window when the girls approached behind them. Leah cleared her throat to catch their attention. Ava and they guy immediately turned around.

"Hi baby." Ava said greeting her fiancée with a kiss. "You girls look stunning! Gianna I would like for you to meet--"

"Dante." The girls said simultaneously interrupting Ava.

Both of them were standing there star struck. They knew exactly who this man was. "You three know each other?" Ava asked confused.

"We grew up together. Same neighborhood. Our moms were best friends, so we became the same. I hope our friendship doesn't stand in the way of a romantic relationship Giana?" Dante explained.

Gianna was lost! Dante was her first love no one but Leah knew about. Their relationship was a secret but something so serious. She would never love another man as hard as him. And honey this brother grew finer over the years! He had smooth dark chocolate skin, these luscious brown eyes, and a smile whiter than milk!

"Of course not. Come on lets be alone" She answered grabbing his hand leading him away from the group.

Leah was grinning ear to ear. "Baby you don't know what you just started."

Ava chuckled "No, I can't say I do. But at least they'll have a better start than our situation!"

Leah laughed. "Baby its been three years and I haven't spoken to your sister or her fiancé since. I hope they're well but can we let that story go please! I'm glad all that drama is behind us."

"Yeah... Me too." Ava said.

How far behind could they leave their dark past, when they were about to face an even darker future?
