Chapter 5

* KATE'S POV *

I woke up all of a sudden. I was in a room that I did not recognize. Where was I? My thoughts blurted into my head back and forth. "Oh. Now I remember" I mumbled. I was in Bucky's and Steve's apartment. They had offered me to stay as long as I needed to. But I'm not gonna stay here long, I'm just gonna stay until I can get a job.

I peeked through the slight opening of the door and looked outside. I saw Bucky at the hall where we were yesterday night. I walked out and came towards him.

"Morning" I greeted him cheerfully.

He turned around and smiled at me "morning"

He then looked at my clothes. "Oh um, I've already got some clothes for you. Their my girlfriends' but you're welcomed to where them" he handed me some clothes.

"Thanks" I took then from his hand and went back to my room. Moments later I came back out wearing what he had given me. It was a simple button up shirt and a flared skirt. My hair was left hanging from my chest again.

This time Bucky was sitting down at the dining area reading the morning papers. Next to him was Steve, also reading a book. I walked in with light clicking sounds made from my shoes.

Both men turned towards me. Steve's face was stunned. I didn't understand why he found me attractive at all. Bucky smiled at first, but then he turned to see Steve expression. He then smirked at me. I wonder what was going on between them.

"Morning" I said again.

"Hey" Bucky answered.

Steve just kept starring at me. I looked at him weirdly. He then realized and quickly answered "morning"

I took a seat next to Steve. Bucky smirked again. What? What was wrong with me sitting next to him?

"Steve, I think you should go take Kate out for a walk later. The weathers fine today. It'll be fun" Bucky told.

"What do you say?" Steve looked over to me.

"Sure. Why not?" I answered simply.

Steve blushed a little. He then tried to hide a smile. Both of them carried on reading.

I wasn't hungry today, so I just took in a cup of coffee to refresh a little. I'd normally take 2 cups, but 1 was just fine today.

After Steve had finished reading, he took me out on a walk. Bucky had already left to visit his girlfriend. We walked around the streets slowly and walked at the same pace. I was wearing flats today, so I was the same height as Steve. We kept silent for a moment. I didn't know what to say. I was hoping for him to be the conversation starter. I waited and waited, but he never did. I soon realized that I had to be the one who started.

"You know I have this weird and crazy dream, Steve"

Steve then turned his gaze from the ground to me. "Oh really? What is it?"

I stopped to think for a moment. Should I tell him? No, maybe not. He may think that I'm crazy.

"Nah, it's okay.. it's stupid. You don't have to listen to it"

"No no.. it's fine. I'd love to hear it"

I let out a sigh and started "ever since I was little... I always had this crazy desire. I... Wanted to... Join the army all my life"

He stopped walking. I then turned to him and said "see.. I told you it was stupid.."

"No. Actually no. That has always been my dream! I always wanted to enroll in the army as well. I've been trying to get in ever since!"

My disappointed expression turned into a smile after hearing him speak. We desired the same thing! We wanted to enroll in the army.

We walked around for about an hour. Ever since we talked about that, we became closer and we kept talking and laughing at each other. We couldn't stop ourselves.

Suddenly Steve said "you know you would make a great agent for the army"

I blushed and said "thanks Steve. And you know what. You'd make a great soldier"

We carried on walking and talking till the sun came down. I can't believe we have so many things in common!

We arrived back home shortly. I had fun. I hope Steve did too. I didn't know when... But I've started liking Steve.. Even though I've just met him a yesterday, I feel like we've met for years. This feeling is just perfect.

AN ; aww~ Steve and Kate like each other!! How sweet! Don't worry, this story won't be all perfect.. It'll have some twist and turns. Until the next update :)
