Chapter 10




* Steve's POV *

Last nights date with Kate ended well. we had the best seats to watch the sunset. thank god the sandwiches tasted good. I actually wanted to order take out but I'd figured that this would be more romantic. I got off of work earlier than Kate today actually, she doesn't know that and I don't plan on telling her either. She doesn't have to know. after all, she's worth it.

Today Kate and Bucky were out somewhere so I'm all alone. I've decided to go watch a movie -there's nothing else that I could do anyway.

I made my way on the streets and finally reached the movie theater about 3 blocks away. I enter the theater and gave my ticket to the receptionist. she was tall and had bright blonde hair. I smiled at her when she looked up just to acknowledge. she took a look at me and rolled her eyes in disgust. I guess she must've noticed how small I was. well who cares, I've already Kate.

I enter into the dark theater, surrounded with lots of high class people. there were some ordinary people too so I wasn't the only one.

Everyone went silent when the screens started playing. I made myself comfortable in my seat and laid back. There was this little short film that they would always show before starting the actually movie. it was an appreciation to all those men that laid down their lives for our country in the war.

It was touching, lots of women started tearing. then there was this jerk in the front yelling
"Hey! start the movie!"

I stare at him in disgust.
"Hey, show a little respect will ya?" I whisper loud enough for him to hear me.

Many other people sorted around were also disgust at him. He was seated like two seats directly in front of me so he can't see me.

"Just roll the film already! no one wants to see this!" he yelled again.

That douche.

"Hey, could you shut up?!" I couldn't hold myself anymore.

He stops and moves the girl cuddling next to him a little. he gets up and turns around looking angrier than ever.

Oh shit.

Crash.

He throws me into the alley at the back of the theater. I really wish Bucky was here right now.

Punch.

He grabs me by my shirt and punches me over and over again.

I can't let him beat me up like this. I've gotta try hitting him back although I know how's this gonna end.

I try punching him in the face but the douche dodged it quickly. he gives me another punch that sends me flying to the ground again. I land next to the wall and I see a garbage can lid at the corner. it's worth a shot. I took the lid and stood up, placing it in front of me as a shield.

He laughs at my try and pushes the lid away from me harshly. he gives me another punch that sends me to the ground again.

I quickly get up.

"I can do this all day you know"

I wipe away the blood from my lips and get into a fighting position.

"You just don't know when to give up do you?" he jerk asks.

"Pick on someone your own size!" a familiar voice booms into the scene.

"Bucky?" I whisper.

It was Bucky. he started punching the douche in the stomach over and over again really hard. The douche tries to hit Bucky but misses. Bucky throws him over the other side and kicks him in the ass sending him away.

The douche gets up and turns to his left and stops. what's he staring at? I turn a little to see Kate there. he was checking her out. that douche!

"How's about you leave these losers and we can take a walk together, hot stuff?"

"How's about you leave now before you get your ass kicked by me, douche"

"Why you little.." he grumbles and attempts to hit Kate.

Kate grabs him by his arm and twist it around causing him to screech in pain. haha, douche. he runs away from the alley. he deserved that.

Bucky come towards me after he's gone and helps me up from the ground.

"Sometimes I think you like getting best up" he smirks. "isn't that right Kate?" he continues.

"You know you should stay out of trouble more. you could get yourself killed out there" she says while coming over to my side.

I chuckle. "yea I know"

"Common guys" Bucky yells.

"We're going to the Stark Expo tonight. Find something nice to wear you two" he continues.

We follow behind him.

"What do you mean we're going. I don't think I wanna go" I tell him.

"Oh common guys. loosen up a little, have fun. this could be called your third date. how's about it?"

I look to Kate and she nods in approval.

"Fine. what time?"

"We're leaving at 8. I'm picking up my girl so we'll stop by at her place first"

"Sounds good" Kate replies.
