* Kate's POV *

Tonight's the Stark Expo. we're gonna go check out what Mr. Stark has invented. it's mainly because Bucky wants to have a date there.

It's 7:30 and I have a major problem. I can't find anything nice to wear. They don't really fit me at all. If I asked Steve he would surely say that anything would suit me. I blush at the thought out Steve

I finally decided on a plain plaided knee length dress and accessorized it with a thin belt.

I stare at my myself in the mirror. at least I have something to wear now.

Now shoes.... let's see. I should probably go with ballad flats. I don't want to be the odd tall date. I wonder what Steve's wearing.

We soon gathered at the expo.

"This place is huge!" I exclaimed.

"It's a stark expo. Whaddya expect?" said bucky

"Where's steve?" I ask concerned that maybe Steve decided to dump me all alone.

"He's in one of his unusual moods again. he told me he was gonna walk around the outer parts of the expo. you should go see what's gotten into him, while I go find my date"

"Yea ok. see ya"

I searched all around the expo for Steve. where could my little man be...

I turned around to see a man in a leather jacket and khaki pants, back turned to me. Steve.

I walk over to greet him with a smile. I tapped on his shoulder and made him jump a little. I let out a little giggle and Steve just let's out a sigh. I notice the change in him.

"What's wrong Steve? you're not your usual self today" I ask him worried.

He doesn't reply me but continues to stare at something. I followed his gaze to find a military army enrollment poster. ah, one of those thoughts again.

"Steve...." I cooed tenderly.

"Kate, I wanna help the country. I really wanna enroll in the army. I think I'm gonna try again"

"But Steve you've already entered so many times in countless different profiles. I fear that you might get caught this time"

"These guys? nah. it'll be fine. trust me kate"

His eyes were glimmering with hope and determination. how could I say no? plus it has always been our dream to enroll anyways. He'd probably do it behind my back anyways. so why not

"Ok Steve. I'll accompany you" I gave him a warm smile to ensure of my agreement.

I swear his face never looked so happy and alive before. he really did want this badly.

I accompany Steve and we walk to where the enrollment was held in the expo.

Steve did his usual checkups and I waited for him outside. I was doing my usual ogling and noticed a professor. He was busy talking with some nurses, I other professionals and what not. he entered to where Steve was waiting. Does he know about Steve's faulty profiles? oh no!

I waited for Steve to come out un patiently. what could be taking so long? did he really get caught? I knew I should have pursued him further. damn it!

Just moments later the curtains open to reveal Steve and the professor shaking hands on an agreement.
