Broken Record- Dani Cimorelli (Fanfic)

Part 10

Cole's POV

I just finished getting ready for the wedding I'm going to today. I was dressed in an all black button down, with black pants and a light grey dress coat over the top.

I'm so glad that Dani is coming with me. I hate parties in general and a wedding is basically like one huge party. But I'm actually excited for today because I get to spend more time with her.

I went downstairs to tell my mom that I was going to pick up Dani and that I would meet her at the wedding. She agreed and said that she would save us seats for when we got there.

I nodded my head and then grabbed my keys to head out the door. It didn't take me long to get to Dani's house, so about 10 minutes after leaving, I pulled up in her driveway. I walked up to her door and knocked lightly.

I heard foot steps jogging lightly to the door as I waited. She opened the door with a smile on her face. I smiled as I took in her appearance. She was wearing a light colored, summer dress.

Cole- "Wow, you look amazing." I said while smiling at her.

Dani- "So do you." She said smiling back while she leaned in to give me a hug.

Cole- "You ready to go?" I asked happily.

Dani- "Yeah let's go." She said smiling. I looked down toward my hand and held it out gently. She looked down at my hand and smiled slightly while grabbing it.

I walked to the passenger side of the car to open the door up for her. When she got in I shut the door and walked to get in the drivers side.

It was a wedding ceremony that was being held out of town so we had about an hour long drive ahead of us.

As we drove we made small talk for about the first 20 minutes. But even small talk with her seemed to be better then talking with people that I've known my whole life.

Cole- "Thank you so much for coming with me. I literally don't know how I would manage to get through the night if you didn't agree to come."

Dani- "It's no problem! I'm excited I think I will be fun! I love weddings so I never turn down the chance to go to one." She said smiling widely. I smiled back as I glanced over at her and then back at the road.

Cole- "You're so cool you know that?" I asked while still smiling happily.

Dani- "Why is that?" She asked while laughing.

Cole- "You're just always happy. Like even when I can tell you're really not that happy, you still seem to manage to see great things in everything... And I mean I'm not just talking about the wedding haha, I mean anything. I love that you see always try to find the good in everything and everyone. I wish more people were like that." She smiled while blushing slightly and looking down at their hands.

Dani- "Why are you always so nice to me?"

Cole- "What do you mean? How could I not be?"

Dani- "I don't know. I guess I'm just used to guys treating me badly."

Cole- "You are way to incredible to be treated badly. Other guys might be that way, but I won't... But after you see me dancing tonight at that reception I might embarrass you enough to not want to hang out with me ever again." I said while laughing.

Dani- "Oh come on you can't be that bad!"

Cole- "Dani, I play basketball. Have you ever watched a basketball player dance?"

Dani- "I can't say that I have!" She said while letting out a small laugh.

Cole- "It's because we don't! 90% of us can not dance to save our lives. It's a tragedy to witness me dance!" I said while she laughed harder letting her head fall slightly forward.

Cole- "I'm not joking its so bad! I hate it! Hahaha"

Dani- "I love dancing! And I love weddings! So I'm gonna have to get you to like both!"

Cole- "I don't know if that's possible! I'm the guy who loves record stores and going to the lake every weekend. And whenever I'm not there I just want to be playing basketball or hanging out with you. Weddings and dancing are pretty much at the bottom of my list of things that I would want to do! Hahaha"

She smiled and slightly blushed once more.

Cole- "But I suppose since hanging out with you is one of the things I like doing most, I will suck it up and dance... As long as I'm with you."

Dani's POV

He wasn't shy with me anymore. He was kind with his words and showed me more sides of him every time that we were together.

Now I'm just excited for tonight. I love spending time with him and now is a great opportunity to do just that.

I smiled to myself as I looked back over at him.

He's such a good guy... I just want this to work. No other guy has, but I feel like he might.
