Part 9

Dani's POV

We remained in the backyard of his house and we continued to talk. I looked over at him while he spoke and couldn't help but smile. After small talking for a while longer Cole looked over at me and spoke up.

Cole- "I hate parties and big groups of people, it stresses me out." He said while laughing then continued. "Do you want to go on a walk with me? I'll take you to my favorite place." He said smiling sweetly.

Dani- "Yeah. Let's go!" We stood up and walked out of the side gate that lead to the front yard. As we walked down the street he began to speak once more.

Cole- "There's this park at the end of my street and whenever I'm feeling super introverted I just go walk to the park. Kind of lame, I know. But it's really peaceful. And right now is the best time to go, that's why I wanted you to come here with me right now."

Dani- "Why is right now the best time?"

Cole- "Because the sun is going down. Sunset is the best time to go. It's quiet. And Nashville sunsets are pretty incredible when you actually take a minute to sit back and appreciate them."

I smiled over at him as we continued walking to the park. When we got there we went and sat on a bench that was facing the sunset. He sat close beside me as he stared out at the sky.

Cole- "Sorry I pulled you away from the party. I know that you would probably rather be there, it's just not really my scene."

Dani- "Don't apologize. I'm glad you did." I smiled over at him and continued.

Dani- "So what is your scene anyways?"

He shrugged his shoulders and a shy smile grew on his face.

Cole- "I don't know if I have a scene... But if I had to give you an ideal scene, it would be this. Sitting here, in total peace...with you. "

Dani- "Wow, I get to be apart of your scene?" I said smirking at him. He smirked back flirtatiously, but his voice was still quiet just as it always was.

Cole- "Yeah. You're kind of the best part too... I mean the sunset scene in Tennessee is great, don't get me wrong. But adding you into that makes it an unbeatable scene." I smiled at him as a small blush grew on my face.

Cole- "By the way, I wanted to ask you something."

Dani- "Okay, what's up?"

Cole- "You know that wedding that I was invited too?"

Dani- "Yeah I remember, the one you were worried about how you dressed." I said while laughing.

Cole- "Well I get a plus one, and I would love if you could come with me. I don't know if maybe that's awkward because you don't know the person but I would just have way more fun if you came with me..." He paused as he looked back over at me with a flirtatious smile.

Cole- "Cause you know, a wedding is basically one big party. And that's not my scene... But you are." He said smiling sweetly. I smiled widely back at him as I responded.

Dani- "I would love to go with you. That sounds great."

Cole- "Good! Now I have to dress extra nice." He said while smiling and looking at the sunset.

Dani- "Why's that?" I asked while laughing lightly.

Cole- "Because I have a beautiful girl to impress. I can't take you as my wedding date and not look my best. That wouldn't be right." He said while smirking. Once again I felt a blush growing on my face after he called me beautiful.

Cole- "Besides, I'd probably get pretty jealous if other guys came up to hit on you because they didn't expect you to be with a guy like me." I smirked as I looked at him.

Dani- "You would get jealous?" I asked surprised while raising my eyebrows.

Cole- "Yeah, I would definitely get jealous of a guy flirting with the girl I have a huge crush on."

Dani- "Well, there nothing to be jealous of. Cause I'm going with you. Besides, I'm not interested in any other guy." I said with a smirk on my face.
