Brandon POV

After that conversation with my parents, mom took off work the rest of the day and brought me home, I crashed in my room and slept most of the afternoon, I guess I was hoping to escape thoughts of Callie but sleeping didn't help I just dreamed about her instead. when everyone else got home from school things continued on as usual, we all sat down at the dinner table and carried on as usual, even joked about things, and after dinner we all went to bed.

I woke in the middle of the night, I was probably not tired enough because of that nap I took earlier, so I headed down to the kitchen and was surprised to see Jude down there as well.

Brandon- hey

Jude- hey

Brandon- what are you doing?

Jude- I couldn't sleep, I wanted a drink of juice

Brandon- oh okay

Jude- what about you?

Brandon- couldn't sleep either, thought I would get a snack, want some ice cream?

Jude- won't we get in trouble?

Brandon- well I figured I'm in enough trouble as it is so....

Jude- yeah right

Brandon got the ice cream out and they both sat down at the table, they sat in silence for awhile.

Jude- can I ask you something?

Brandon- sure, what?

Jude- that night when you and Callie came to get me..

Brandon- yeah

Jude- why did you go with her?

Brandon- honestly I don't know, I just did

Jude- why didn't you stop her?

Brandon- ha.. I don't think a wreaking ball could have stopped her that night, she was so worried about you, so determined to get you

Jude smiles

Brandon- look, what happened between me and Callie was my fault, Callie told me nothing like that could ever happen and I just kept pushing her

Jude- then why did you do it?

Brandon- the truth is I wasn't thinking about what would happen to Callie or you, or how scary it would be for you to be sent to another foster home, I was only thinking about myself, and that wasn't fair.

Jude- well right now, I don't care if we have to leave, I just want Callie to come back

Brandon- I know, I'm really sorry Jude, are we good?

Jude- yeah were good

they both smile and finish their ice cream, before heading up to bed
