Chapter 12

7th Birthday

"I don't really know where to start." Courtney pauses,

"From the beginning" Lori says frustration hinting in her words,

"Okay uhh" she clears her throat,
"Well it's starts with, Uhhh" She pauses,
"It's starts at" she pauses again,
"The movie!" She says surprising herself,
"You know about Ross's new movie, right?" She questions, I nod my head slowly.

I'm not sure what it's called or who was staring in it but I knew he was filming later in the year, he was going to bring me along and we were going to spend some romantic time together, kind of like a weird dating honeymoon, that was  until Stormie informed me that she got a text from management saying that won't be happening.

"well it started with the phone call of me getting the movie roll" her Australian accent getting stronger as she thought more about her words and not how she was saying them,
"So the next week, after I got the call and I had to go see my script and who id be working with" she pauses,

"Okay and that's where you met Ross?" Rydel cuts in asking her the question that was on my mind,

"Yes, that's where we met, we went through the script with everyone else first though, Ross and I had hardly made eye contact for more then 3 seconds, we sat there for like an hour before told we could leave but before we could leave the director held us back" she pauses,

"Keep going court" Savannah pushes, Savannah has been staring at me the whole time,

"He made sure we sat back down, Ross and I swapped glances I could tell he had no idea as well what was going on, the director have a long speech about shoots and paparazzi the he said this, his words very clear in my mind 'say hello to your new girlfriend, say hello to your new boyfriend' ugh"

"It's all a publicity stunt" the words slip from my lips just as her words finish leaving her lips,

"Yea, Ross and I are just friends" she says placing a hand to my shoulder,
"That's it"

My smile bigger then the damn sun, I can't even hide it,

"THANK GOD" I yell throwing myself at her, taking her off the bed, screaming being let out by all the girls, as I hold Courtney,
"I'm so happy it's all I misunderstandin-" I stop raising my head from Courtney's shoulder,

"What's wrong Laur?" Lexi asks,

"I've been avoiding Ross" I shoot up, pulling myself up to my feet and then helping Courtney up, considering I took her out.

"Just talk to him" Lori says,

"What do I say?" I ask,

"How you feel?" Courtney asks,

"No I can't do that, I don't know how to explain that" I mutter,

"How do you feel now?" Savannah asks,

"Like my heart is eating cake on its 7th birthday" the girls look at me weird,

"Yea you suck at explaining how you feel" Lori says,

"I know" I throw my head to my hands.
