The worst I've ever been,
Wasn't when they insulted me,
Or when they kicked me while I was down.
Wasn't when they told me to die,
Or when everybody backed them up.
The worst I've ever been,
Wasn't when I came to no one home,
Or when my father beat me up.
Wasn't when my brother came high,
Or when my mother screamed at me all night.
The worst I've ever been
Was when I looked around my room,
Finding no one to stop me from taking my own life.
