Kid's POV:

How disgusting! That painting is not compleatly straight.

I was sitting in the classroom, staring at the painting that was hung above professor Stein's head. I had noticed the horrible flaw when the professor pointed upwards in his grand portraying of dissecting  some type of rare animal. My eye twitched as it took everything in me not to stand up and move the painting back into place. The painting was a little to the right.

"Hey Kid are you ok?" I heard someone's melodious voice say to me, I snapped out of my trance to see the whole class was staring at me. I registered that it was Maka's voice speaking to me, my heart jumped a little

I looked around and saw Soul and Maka looking at me, worry was across Maka's face and humor was on Soul's. Blackstar was trying his best not to burst out laughing beside Soul. My heart raced a little faster as I thought about Maka caring about me

"No I am not fine!" I stood up, Liz and Patty sighed beside me, "Professor, permission to correct that painting! It is not symmetrical and I can not focus with such awful alignment in my sight"

The class broke out into a series of groans and giggles, Stein rolled his eyes at me

"Kid the class is over in a few minuets, you can stay after to move it if you want" as he was saying this the bell rang, I shot out of my seat and ran up to the painting quickly fixing it. I stood back and regained my calm posture.

By the time I had fished most of the people in the room were gone, all but Soul, Maka and I. I noticed Patty and Liz had left without me. I heard Maka and Soul muttering to each other, Maka sounded angry but I didn't bother getting into it.

I had just stepped out of the classroom when I heard a scream from inside the room, I ran back into the room quickly.

"What happened?!" I yelled, before me I saw Maka on the ground and Soul no where to be seen

How? Soul left? So quickly?

I ran up to Maka, "Maka are you ok?!" I got to her and turned her over, her dirty blonde hair fell in front of her face covering up a newly forming bruise. "Maka what happened?!" I shook her but she was out cold.

"Dammit" I did what I could and picked her up bridal style, I carried her out of the classroom and down to the nurses office

Dammit Kid what do you get yourself into. I walked in the office and a nurse gasped

"What happened?!" she yelled while running over to me, she directed me to a bed and I set her down. She was very light, a lot lighter than I thought she would be.

"I don't know, I want to know the same thing" I growled, I tensed up when the nurse put her hand on my shoulder. Burning anger flowed through me as I thought about what Soul may have done to her

"I will take care of her, come back in about and hour alright?" the nurse said to me

"Oh I-I'm not her partner or anythin-" I was cut off from my stuttering speech

"But you brought her here, so I trust you to bring her back to her home once she is recovered" the nurse said sternly, she shooed me out of the room and shut the door behind me.

I sighed, fixing my hair I walked down the hallway. I found Blackstar and Tsubaki and ran up to them.

"Hey! Blackstar have you seen Soul anywhere?" I said to the blue haired boy

"NO, WHY WOULD YOU BE LOOKING FOR HIM WHEN YOU COULD REVEL IN MY GLORY?!" Blackstar then proceeded to show off his muscles, I rolled my eyes

"This is serious!" I said in a matter of fact tone, "I need to find Soul, Maka is in the nurses office right now and I want to know what happened" I ended in a dangerous tone

"What? Maka is at the nurse? Is she ok?" Tsubaki said quietly

"Probably but I am not sure, now have you seen Soul!?" I said impatiently

Blackstar and Tsubaki shook their heads, I said my thanks and ran outside. I looked around for the bright white hair of Soul but he was no where to be seen

"Where are you" I muttered

Soul's POV:

Where am I?

Maka?! Maka where are you? Are you ok?

Hello?

I felt a warm liquid run down the side of my face as I hung there limply
