Will You Be There for Me? Death the Kid x Maka

Soul's POV: 

My breath kept hitching in my throat. My lungs felt like they were closing in on me and my heart hurt like someone was stabbing it.

"hello..is anyone out there.." I said my voice cracking.

I was a weapon for hell's sake, and yet I am tied up in this little dark room all alone.

"Yes. Someone is out here" A deep voice said, I snapped my head up looking around. A little window opened in front of me on which I could only assume was a door. Light filtered in from the little hole and I squinted my eyes at it

"Who!?" I yelled as loud as my tired voice could

"Awe wouldn't the specimen like to know" I heard a demonic laugh and a content sigh before the light shut off and all noise left again

I bowed my head, trying to pull at the restrains that were digging into my arms and legs. I needed to be free, I needed to find Maka and help her. 

I need to protect Maka.

Kid's POV:

I had been running around for about 45 minuets and I had seen no sign of Soul anywhere.

Where could he be? He did this to Maka, I will make him pay. A rage burned inside my golden eyes as I walked on

I was making my way through the hallways of the DWMA when I heard a shrill, loud scream echo through the hallway. I bolted towards the sound of the scream and found myself in front of the nurses door again. 

I went inside quickly and noticed Maka on the bed thrashing around

She was screaming her head off, the nurse was trying her best to hold her down but she was failing. I saw some other nurses come to try to grapple the situation but none of them could calm down the screaming girl

"Maka! Maka calm down!" I ran over to her and took her arms, a deep blush ran over my cheeks as I held her hands down. Some of the nurses looked up at me in shock

"LEAVE ME ALONE! DON'T HURT ME!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, Maka's eyes were still shut tight as tears ran down her perfect cheeks

She started to calm down, she was screaming and crying. I put my hands to the side of her face and placed my forehead on hers. Her hands flew up and hit my sides and back. I heard a nurse grunt and fall to the ground

She must have kicked her

"Maka you are safe" I said, her body tensed up then relax compleatly. "Maka I am here, you are safe" I said again. I don't know why I did this, but it seemed to work. My heart was racing out my chest as I was so close to her. 

I heard Maka groan in agony and I raised my head, I looked down at her and saw the bruise on her face looking worse. I removed my hands and backed away a little bit. I saw Maka pass out compleatly. Some other nurses were tending to the fallen one and others went to Maka to see if she was stable

Damn Maka, you got a mad punch

I rubbed my side as I went over to the nurse who was knocked out cold on the ground, I picked her up slowly and set her on the chair. Perks to being half reaper I guess, super strength. The others thanked me and I nodded in understanding

"What happened here?!" I heard someone yell, I turned on one heel and saw Sid standing there gaping at everything.

"Well, Maka kinda went crazy and knocked out the nurse. That is about it" I said in my calm voice. In reality I was not calm at all, my heart was still racing from the whole incident.
