Compulsion

Elena's POV

"You know you can come in here right."

Elijah asks from the living room and I roll my eyes. I'm sitting on the staircase flipping through some magazine, I'm not really reading it I'm just trying to stay busy to pass the time.

"Probably not the best idea."

I answer and he walks over sitting down beside me.

"And why not."

He asks taking my magazine away. Causing me to turn my attention towards him.

"No reason"

I say sighing and stand up so that we're not so close, but my plan doesn't work. He also stands up right in front of me.

"Tell me."

He demands and I roll my eyes again. Why can't he just drop it?

"What do you want me to tell you Elijah? That I've been having some sort of unusual attraction to you. That is probably the result of a sire bond."

Oh my god I can't believe I just said that. He looks at me surprised and hesitates for a second.

"Have you ever thought that maybe you just have some unresolved feelings for me but you don't want to admit it to yourself for the fear of what Niklaus might do?"

"I've told you how I feel about you Elijah. You know I care for you, but I can't betray Klaus like that. Even if we're not on the best terms right now."

I say taking a few steps back, and he steps closer. I know he can hear my heart rate speed up because he smiles.

"He didn't seem to care about you when he was making out with Caroline? ...Did he?"

I gulp and try to step back more but I can't because my back is against the wall. Dammit.

"Good news, Kol is now on our side."

Klaus says walking in but he stops talking when he sees how close Elijah and I are. Part of me is relived that Klaus walked in because I don't know what would have happened if he didn't but the other part of me is scared of how he is going to react.

"Okay that's about enough of this. You're turning into Katherine, Elena, and I won't have it!"

"Klaus I-"

"Enough!!"

He yells cutting me off. He vamps over to me and grabs me by the arms.

"Tell me your feelings about Elijah and I"

He says looking into my eyes.

"Niklaus!"

Elijah says trying to stop him.

"Shut up!"

"Tell me!"

He says looking back at me.
