The first time you found Gilbert sitting in your restroom you had just walked out. This time though...oh, he was just lucky you had left the pistol you had taken from Ludwig on your nightstand.
You stare at him; the Prussian dressed in an outfit similar to yours that consisted of a hoodie and jeans. "What are you doing here...again?!"
He looks up from his phone as he nudges a woven basket with his foot. "Food," he says. As if saying that explains everything.
"There's a gun on my dresser. That dresser is about four meters away. It will take less than ten seconds for me to get to that dresser. In those ten seconds, you will leave." You grit the instructions through your teeth. Gilbert only turns off his phone and pockets it,
"I'm here to once again to be awesome and save you from another horrendous situation."
"Where's Ludwig?"
"Eh? Yesterday went perfectly. West was in one piece when he found us, wasn't he? And we came out in one piece too."
"That's not the point."
Gilbert blinks innocently. You groan as you spin around. You strap the holster with the pistol to your back before pulling the hoodie over it. The albino peers out from the restroom. "And where are you going?"
"It's past noon and it doesn't look like it's going to start raining again. So I'm going out for a walk. I also need to grab something to eat."
"How about a picnic?"
You shoot him a glare. "I can't take you, as a man who is currently sitting in my restroom for no reason, seriously."
"I don't really have any duties. You obviously missed the memo about my country being dissolved."
"It's not like I wasn't the one, along with a certain blonde, who had to deal with the constant...breakdowns." You realize you were starting to be a tad bit hypocritical as you tack on to cover up your slip, "I must have spent thousands in tissues alone."
Suicidal. You were about to say that Gilbert had moments where he acted suicidal. You force yourself out of your daze.
"And I thank Ludwig and you for it. Now, picnic. We should hurry before Ludwig figures out I stole all this from him."
Now you were interested. "And Ludwig decided to make lunch why?"
"No reason," Gil replies with a grin. Your eyes narrow. His smile only gets bigger.
"Fine," you reply. "Only because I have nothing better to do."
"Great! Follow me."
Gilbert leads as you both weave through the halls before going out the glass doors and through the maze. Amusingly enough, Gilbert had also stolen a map for the maze from Ludwig. You both come to a stop at the dock that jutted out into the lake. Gilbert sets the basket down between the two of you as he plops himself onto the slowly decaying wood of the dock. You follow suit.
The smell coming out of the basket was heavenly. You didn't realize you were glaring at the basket greedily until Gilbert's hand enters your vision and peels back the checkered blanket. "West made it for you. Don't shoot the messenger."
