The match was going fine until...no. This can't be happening.
Simon Gotch just threw Enzo across the ring, and he hit his head on the second rope, then it bounced off of the mat.
He fell to the ground, but he doesn't move nor does he get up..he's motionless. Cass comes over to check on him, then here comes the ref. When they put the camera on him, you can see that he's totally out of it. The ref then doing what was necessary and stopped the match. The paramedics came and they put the neck brace on him and carried him out in the stretcher.
Me & Steph ran as fast as we could but by the time we got there, they had already left. I looked at Cass and he had tears in his eyes, and so did I. He then did something that kinda took me by surprise..he embraced me in a full on hug and started to tell me that Enzo will be okay. That this concussion isn't going to keep him down long. He's a fighter. And boy was he right.. Later that night he got discharged.
Kevin Owens, one of their good friends, decided to stop by when he got the chance which I thought was really nice.
But even though Zo got cleared, that still meant he couldn't compete for a few weeks, which he wasn't too happy about, but understood. For me though? It meant that I got to spend some quality time with my man, which I was grateful for.
It also meant Cass would be solo for a few weeks, while Zo was out, but it's nothing he can't handle. When Zo was injured during their time in NXT, Cass was left to be solo for a little bit, but that was a blessing in disguise. It meant that it was his time to shine. So there's no doubt in my mind that he can't do it again.
