Today's date is May 22, 2016. Which means it's also been 3 weeks since Zo's concussion - but he was doing a lot better! (I mean, he DID get discharged the night of..) And boy I tell ya! He's been itchin to get back in that ring ever since, it's driving me crazy! But he's also been at the gym a lot staying in shape and all.. and that little bit of separation is what's kept me sane, I swear! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love that man to death.. But there's also only so much of a person you can take! Especially if they go on and on about one thing.. But anywaysssss! Tonight we were going to have a double date movie night, with Cass and Steph. Hopefully that would get his mind off of things, and he'd just relax and have quality time with friends.
Right now, me and Zo are in his kitchen preparing everything, since they'd be here in half an hour or so. Now, I like to be goofy, so while setting out the dip, I put some on Zo's nose and that turned out to be a bad idea because we had a mini food fight! (I won - btw) So then we had to stop preparing, clean up the mess, and ourselves, then finish preparing! But thankfully, that didn't take long.
As soon as I finished putting down the last dish, the doorbell rang and I went to get it.
"Coming!" I yelled from the kitchen. Then as I started to walk away, Zo's phone rang.
"Oh! It's Mark, gotta take this!" Then he ran out of the room, to be more private.
When I opened he door, there stood Cass and Steph with smiles on their faces.
"Heeeeey!" Steph said while pulling me into a tight hug. I chuckled then afterwards hugged Cass.
"Where's Zo?" He asked, puzzled
"Oh, Mark called him as I was walking to the door, and he practically bolted out of the room!" I told him
Cass laughed, dimples in view, "Yep. Sounds like him! I hope it's good news!"
"Yeah, me too!" I said dead serious "I love that man to death, but he's been acting like a caged animal!"
They both laughed at me, probably at my reaction. Just then here comes a running Enzo from around the corner!
"I'm cleared! I'm cleared!" He yelled all across the house! We each snapped our heads towards Zo, looking at him with puzzled expressions.
"Zo, calm down! What exactly did Mark say??" Cass asked, probably anxious to have his tag team partner back in the ring with him.
"Well basically, he said all the tests came back really well and I can debut back tomorrow!!" I didn't think it was possible, but his eyes were bigger than normal!
"HALLELUJAH!!" I exclaimed. But as I did so Zo looked at me weirdly.. "I- I mean... I'm so happy for you babe!" I then embraced him in a huge hug while hearing Cass and Steph snickering behind us.
"Okay then!" Cass said while clapping his hands together "This calls for some celebrating!!"
The rest of the night concluded with us not even watching movies like originally planned.. We spent it drinking, eating, playing games, and talking about wrestling nonstop.
At some point I remember looking at the three people in front of me and thinking.. This is what I live for: my relationship with Zo, and my friendships. And not even just my friendships with Steph and Cass- I also mean the ones with the other WWE Divas and Superstars. Even the friendships I have outside of WWE.. The friends I grew up with way before NXT..
Basically? I'm loving my life right now. It honestly couldn't be more perfect.
