"Here we are." Barry pulled into the parking lot and everyone hustled out of the car. Ross motions for the three men to follow him down a narrow path into the woods.

"I used to live here before I met Barry. It's magical." Ross explained, pointing out trees and birds he learned the names of.

Everyone watched in amazement as they neared a small opening in the thick woods. There was a fountain smack in the middle.

"I came here to think." Ross sat on the edge of the fountain and put his head in his hands. Everyone sat next to him. Barry patted his back.

"What's been on your mind?" Dan asks, leaning down to Ross's ear.

"Just the usual," Ross mumbles into his hands, "death."

Dan, Arin, and Barry all share glares and stand up to leave.

"This was fun. Let's go, Ross." Arin says as he holds out his hand for Dan.

"Yeah..." Ross looked spaced out, almost high. Not with the red, glassy eyes, but the way he walked and talked. It all seemed sluggish and mellow.

Ross was never calm.

Something was up.

Something was about to go down.

Barriers.
