"Come on Mahogany, you can't stay mad at me forever." Ms.Romulie sighed. I still sat there, arms crossed while staring out of the window. I was the maddest I think I had ever been, she was just tearing me away from the only people I cared about. Ms.Romulie and I were driving to wherever the royal family lived, you would think driving in a limo would be fun. Wrong. I was miserable, Ms.Romulie kept telling me to talk to her, but I had no intent in that. We had been driving for about four hours now, I haven't spoken a word. Tired of the silence I finally spoke.

"I know I have no choice in the matter of me being your heir. But that doesn't mean I'll be a good one." I stated.

"You have to promise me that you will never put the royal family at risk because you are mad at me about taking you away from your friends." Ms.Romulie shot back, eyeing me with a cold stare.

"Only if you, as the queen make sure my friends arrive at the castle tomorrow." I said, making sure that Ms.Romulie could see my determination.

"You know that may not be possible, since they are just peasants."

"You will figure out a way to get them here or you will no longer have an heir."

"Now, Mahogany you are committed to this. But I will do everything in my power to get your friends to arrive." Ms.Romulie promised.

She actually sounded sincere, her eyes reflecting promise. I turned back toward the window and began to zone out again. All of a sudden there was a giant gate that we were stopped at, beyond that was a massive castle. The castle had a wide door, two huge towers with an even bigger body, finished with a brick structure with moss intertwining around the whole castle. My mouth must've been wide open because Ms.Romulie was starting to laugh.

"You could catch flies in that big mouth of yours Mahogany." Ms.Romulie chuckled. I snapped my mouth shut.

"Ms.Romulie that is amazing. How come you don't live here?" I asked.

"Well, you see I do. After work I come here. Of course it's a long drive, so then I usually don't leave for about a week. The good thing about having this power is that you can afford practically anything!" Ms.Romulie laughed, she leaned in close to me like she was about to whisper a secret. "That's when I use my hologram."

I started laughing, everything was just so absurd. Nothing made sense anymore. In one day my whole world was just flipped upside down because of some stupid thing I signed 13 years ago.

"You highness we have arrived, where would you like me to place the princesses luggage?" The driver asked, swiftly swinging up the limo door open.

"Take it up to her room please." Ms.Romulie answered, grabbing the drivers hand and walked into the palace. Her long gown swaying as she walked.

I slung my backpack over my shoulder and heaved out of the limo. I took the deepest breath that I could muster and followed Ms.Romulie into the palace, not yet knowing if I was ready for whatever was going to happen.

The palace was the most grand thing I have ever seen. As I walked through the front door I gasped in surprise. The floor was marble with crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The entryway was connected to four hallways and a spiral staircase leading upstairs.

"Excuse me ma'am, are you lost?" A man's voice rang out. I spun around to face the person who had spoken. I was faced by a tall, slender man. He was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a tight t-shirt that showed off his rippling chest muscles. His hair was black and it stretched down to his earlobes. His eyes were a piercing green colour that could stare right into your soul.

"No..Uh. I just need to find my room? I guess?" I stuttered. My face started turning bright red, I yanked my hand to cover my face.

"May I ask your name then ma'am?" He asked, his mouth quirking to the side.
