I woke up around 6:30 the next morning. I stretched out my arms and yawned before looking beside me. Loki was still sleeping, his hair splayed across his pillow. He looked peaceful while he slept, so much younger.
"Loki. Wake up please." I whispered, leaning over and shaking his arm. His eyes snapped open and his arm launched out punching me across the face. I yelped and crashed to the floor, my nose burned and there was blood pooling on the ground.
"Jesus christ Mahogany. Don't wake a sleeping person like that." Loki muttered from the bed, before looking over and seeing me on the ground clutching my nose. He jumped from the bed and tilted my head back. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry princess."
"It's fine. I can take a few punches." I said, my voice nasally. Loki ran into the washroom and grabbed a few tissues. The bleeding stopped after 10 minutes but my nose was turning a deep purple and it was beginning to swell. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail while Loki was putting a ring that I had never noticed before on his finger.
"Where'd you ged thad ring?" I asked, my voice still super nasally. Loki looked over at me and grimaced.
"My father. He's making me wear it until I get married, I hate wearing rings so this is my punishment."
"For not gedding married?"
"My father believes that being 21 means you have to be married. Traditional methods I guess, but I can only marry princesses obviously. But for some reason people don't like me." Loki said smiling.
"Oh I wonder why." I said sarcastically. "You punch them to?"
"I only punch my friends." Loki laughed.
"So we're friends now?"
"I do consider you someone who I enjoy being around. Although I did punch you."
"Yes you did, and thad may strain our relationship." I laughed, but then winced and instinctively touched my tender nose.
"We must get going. I'll get you some ice so the swelling can go down before we find your boyfriend. I doubt he'll be impressed that I punched you." Loki said, clenching his hands and then walking to the ice bucket. He wrapped the ice in a piece of cloth and delicately touched it to my nose, I couldn't help but flinch. Loki picked up my duffel bag and we exited the room. The attendant was in the exact same spot, but this time her legs were resting on the desks in front of her. She looked at me shocked as we passed.
"What happened to you?" She asked, her mouth wide opened.
"He punched me." I stated, tilting my thumb towards Loki; who rolled his eyes. The attendant looked horrified but she leaned back and became invested in her phone again.
We took around 100 wrong turns which included a lot of road rage from Loki. We made it to the warehouse where apparently Andrew and the rest of the weird cult thing were. I don't even know what to call them. The warehouse was large and old, it looked as if it would collapse any minute.
"You sure dis is where they are?" I asked, the swelling in my nose sadly hadn't gone down and all the ice was melted. I looked like squidward.
"Positive."
"Be on da lookoud, dey could be watching." I said. Loki was sneaking around the side to try and get through the window. But I had an idea.
I made my way to the front of the warehouse and put my hands on the handles of the large doors. Loki shot me a look that said; what are you doing? I smiled at him and whipped the doors open, I will never forget Loki's horrified face. The warehouse was empty but I knew better. I slowly walked into the middle of the warehouse, the lights were off. It was so silent I could only hear my breathing. Suddenly the lights flicked on and Andrew was standing in front of me.
