Apart from the engagement, lunch was pretty uneventful. The duchess left me alone for the majority of the meal. After lunch, Loki walked me up to my room and we paused at the door.

"So you're really getting married." Loki said, starting up the conversation. I leaned against the door and rested my head back, closing my eyes.

"I really don't want to talk about it." I said. I could feel Loki in front of me, his body heat radiating off him.

"You'll have to kiss him you know." Loki pointed out, stepping slightly closer to me.

"Yeah, I know. Who knows, he might be a good kisser." I smirked.

"Or you might be a horrible one and he'll never want to kiss you again." Loki laughed, a sound that came from the bottom of your stomach.

"For your information, I'm actually a great kisser." I laughed, putting my hands behind my back.

"Is that so?" Loki asked, our faces only inches apart. I could feel his breath mixing with mine. Nerves erupted in my stomach and I couldn't move. Loki leaned even closer, brushing his lips lightly against mine.

"Wait. Loki." I whispered, my brain scrambling to form a coherent thought. Loki didn't pull away, but answered.

"Ok."

"I'm scared."

"I know." Loki said, his breathing slowing and his heartbeat going faster. My heart was already beating out of my chest. "If you don't want this. Tell me to stop." My eyes fluttered shut and I breathed in his scent.

"Don't stop." I answered. Loki slid his hands around my waist and tilted his head down towards me. I stood on my tip toes to meet his lips when.

"Mahogany! I heard lunch was done!" Karena exclaimed, opening the door. Causing me to go sprawling into Loki's arms. "Oh sorry."

"That's okay Karena." I said, pushing my hair out of my eyes and taking a deep breath.

"I'll just be waiting inside." Karena said, closing the door. I sighed and turned around to find Loki already walking down the hall. My heart sunk and I was about to go into the room. But then I whipped around and ran down the hall towards him, he heard my footsteps and turned around.

"Mahogany what the hell?" He asked as I skidded to a stop in front of him.

"Just shut up." I said, grabbing his face in my hands and pressing my lips against his. Electricity shot through my body and all I could think of was this is what it feels like to be in love. Loki brought his hands around my waist and pulled me closer. I intertwined my fingers into his hair and tugged slightly causing Loki to grunt. I broke the kiss off earlier than when I wanted too.

"What? Mahogany, you are get-"

"I know. I know." I repeated, pressing my lips to his again quickly, before turning on a heel and walking back to my room.

So um it actually happened! I didn't know if this was a little too early on in the story to have them kiss but I just went for it. Of course make sure to leave feedback in the comments :)
