After a long night, I stand up and peer out my window. It's finally daytime. All of the hideous monsters are either gone or on fire, except for the green things and the giant spiders. I step cautiously outside and shut the door behind me. A spider sees me, but leaves me alone. I guess they don't attack during the day, so I leave it alone.

One of the green things spot me. It starts to walk toward me. I wonder if they're the same as the spiders? It gets close to me and starts to flash. "Ssssssssssssssssssssss..." it says. BOOM! I am pushed back as it explodes.

I start to feel weak and my stomach starts to growl. I need food. I walk into my house and tinker on the crafting table until I have a wooden sword. I walk outside and scan the horizon. I see no animals nearby, so I decide to go deeper into the large mass of trees around my little clearing.

After about one hundred blocks, I spy a pink spot and hear an "oink". I walk closer to the spot and find eight pigs. I kill six with my wooden sword and leave two. I get four pork chops.

I make my way back to my house. I start to wonder about everything around me. What are the uses for all of these resources?

I start to gather some grass. I thought I would get little spades of grass, but, to my surprise, I get green seeds. I gather a lot more grass, and soon I have a whole stack of seeds.

It's only the middle of the day by the time I get back to my house. I tinker on my crafting table until I get a hoe, some fence, and a fence gate. I go outside and mark off an eight-by-eight block of land with the fence. I plow each block and place seeds. On my way out, I make a place for the fence gate and place the gate.

It's starting to get dark, so I go inside. I used up my hoe, so I make another one. I hear the hissing and growling again and wait out the night a second time.

I am pretty pleased with my day of hunting. The pork chops are raw, of course. I eat two. I will collect stones and build a furnace tomorrow so that I can have food that's more filling.
