Herobrine's P.O.V.
I pace around, waiting impatiently for my spy to return. What is taking him so long? If I don't get my daily news soon, I might go mad. I'm trapped in this other world, in this big, black void, with no way out, so I have my spy gather daily news about what happens because I can't see it, can't hear it, have nothing that resembles Minecraftia here but my memories.
Oh, how beautiful it was as I remember it. The beautiful clouds, lots of wonderful animals, different biomes, an adventure at every corner, and friends. No, wait, no friends. Just me.
A memory comes back to me. Notch. Steve. I shake off the feeling and think of what I'll do if I ever get out of here. I'll have a great feast...
POP! Another figure pops up. It's an ocelot. It's my spy.
"Hello. It's about time you got here." I say to my spy.
"Hello, Herobrine. I have news I think you will be very happy to hear. Maybe happy enough to give me a few days off..."
"Hurry up and tell me, you little furball!" I shout.
The ocelot winces. "Okay, okay. And I have a name, you know."
I sigh. "Hurry up and tell me, Grayson."
"Thank you." Grayson says proudly. "Now, as I was saying, I heard somebody talking about Steve-"
"WHAT?!" I scream. "They know better than to do that! Which family in which village?"
Grayson winces. "The Maurya family, s-sir, in the D-D-Delta village."
I grit my teeth. "What all did you hear?"
Grayson gulps. "Well, they were sitting in the living room with some boy and girl. Then, the girl asked them if they ever heard about Steve. The family got scared, but the woman handed the girl a map to the Kiluea village and told her to go. And I was spotted by them, but they were scared of me. Anywho, the girl and boy did get away but-"
My face gets redder and redder as Grayson tells me the story. My rage builds up like a forest fire until I can't take it any longer. I scream and throw lightning bolts around, but of course, they hit nobody.
"Wait!" Grayson exclaims. "I haven't told you the best part." he says with a sly smile.
"What? Could it get any worse?" I say.
"The girl," Grayson says, swimming around in the void, "is Steve's daughter. I heard her say it herself." Then he teleports away with a laugh.
I get so angry, I let out the loudest scream I've ever made. Lightning comes out of my hands again, but it's so much, much more than any amount of lightning I've ever made. My hands are pointed in front of me. Then, there's a blinding flash of light and I black out.
...........
I groan and rub my eyes. The sun is shining right in them... wait, the sun? I look around me. I'm in a forest biome. Forest biome? There is no black void, no endless darkness. There are trees and grass and lakes and clouds and animals! I hear a voice.
"Wha-wha-wha..."
I turn around. There is a boy and a girl standing there, their mouths gaping. Only the boy is speaking, but the girl doesn't look frightened. She looks... curious. Like Steve. Suddenly, I see Grayson walk up behind the girl and rub against her leg.
"It's her." Grayson says. The girl turns around.
"Whoa, did that ocelot just talk?" she says with amazement.
I smirk and feel the lightning tingle at my blocky fingertips. I plan to trap them both, but especially the girl.
"It can't be!" the boy says. "Rachel! RUN!" he screams.
They both run off. I frown and look at Grayson. He comes up to me.
"Sooo... you made a portal. It's about time you learned how." he remarks.
"Are you being smart to me?" I snap.
Grayson's eyes grow big and he backs down.
"No." he whimpers.
"Come on," I say. We go in the direction of the boy and girl.
