Party

"Mal, where are you?" Ben calls. I smile and peek my head out of the shallow water behind him. Ben's been trying to teach me to swim. We graduated college last year. We've been together since we met in High School. Between being king and school, Ben didn't really have a lot of time to spend with me but he's been making up for it since then. He spends whatever time he can with me. "Mal?"

I jump on him from behind and we splash into the water. I smile into the kiss he pulls me into before we sit up. "Hey Benny-boo," I say.

"There you are." He kisses me again. "You're getting better." He climbs out and helps me up before we sit down and he shows me some strawberries. I reach for them but he takes them away. "Time for a game. I'm gonna dip the strawberries in something and if you tell me what it is, you get a kiss."

"Alright." He ties a blindfold around my eyes and pulls out more things. After a minute, a strawberry is poking at my mouth. "Mmm," I whisper. "Whipped Cream?"

Ben's nose touches mine and we kiss, softly. "Good."

Again, a strawberry is placed by my mouth. "Chocolate." His kiss deepens slightly this time before he pulls away and places a strawberry in my mouth again. "Sugar." He leans in again but I push him back until he's flat on the ground. I lean over him as we make out until he rolls us over. I let out a laugh and run my hands through his hair. After a couple minutes, we sit up and I take the blind fold off. "I like this game."

He smiles. "Good." He kisses me again before looking down at me. "I do, too." He picks me up and heads towards the water.

"Ben! Don't you dare throw me in there!"

He nods. "Don't worry. I won't throw you in there." I smile, relaxing in his arms. He jumps into the water and it splashes around us.

"Ben!" I scream. I push away from him and swim away but he catches me. "Agh!" He laughs as he stands there, his head barely above the water.

I smirk and pull one of his legs out from under him. He cries out as he sinks before pulling me under, too. We hang around for a while before Ben's phone rings out. "This is Ben. Hey, Dad. Yes. I know, but-" He sighs and looks away. "Alright." He puts his phone down and reaches for his clothes.

"Forget to do something?" I ask. I'm able to put all of my clothes on over my swimsuit before he responds.

"Not forget, per say," he says. I look at him and he sighs. "I was supposed to be at a fitting and then some meeting between my dad and a few other royals."

"YOU were being BAD?" I ask, shocked. "No. Not possible. You would never! It's crazy!"

"You do crazy things for someone you love," Ben insists. I smile and he leads me to his bike.

When we get back, I walk to me and Evie's apartment where I get ready for bed. I'm half asleep when Evie walks in with two guys. "Evie, if you're going to be loud, go somewhere else."

She giggles before someone is playing with my hair. I'm awake in an instant, tumbling off my bed. "Hey Mal." Ben picks me up before shaking off his shoes and lying down next to me. "Tired?" I nod and move my cheek to lie over his chest. "I don't have to be anywhere until tomorrow at noon. We can lounge all day."

I smile as his hand runs up and down my back. "Goodnight."

The next morning, we finally crawl out of bed at ten o' clock. "I got a text from Audrey about a party," I tell Ben. "Tonight. Want to go?"

Ben smiles. "Sure. Let me just make sure that I'm able to get away." He scrolls through his phone before nodding. "I'm free."
