Fight to Save What's Right

          "Alright," Ben says, taking charge. "Fairy Godmother, how long can you hold Maleficent off?"

"I'll hold her off as long as I can," she says.

They keep talking as I slip out of the room. I quickly reach my mother's scepter. "Do it quick, do it fast; make it small and make it last." The scepter shrinks to the size of a wand and I slide it into a wand holster on my belt. I put in an ear piece and Evie, Jay and Carlos are already on the line. "Are you guys ready?" I ask.

"You bet," they reply.

I start to leave, stopping outside the conference room. My eyes glow green behind my mask as I catch sight of Fairy Godmother's wand. "And now I command, wand to my hand!" I whisper. The wand moves for a moment, catching Fairy Godmother's attention. "And now I command, wand to my hand!" I try again. It flies towards me and I catch it before sliding it into the other holster and running. I quickly run to the edge of the wall overlooking the main entrance as they run out.

"Stop!" Ben shouts. I kneel on the edge of the wall, my face tuned away. "Who are you? Why did you take that wand?"

I sigh and use my powers to change my voice. "I know what I'm doing. You have to trust me."

"How can we?" Audrey asks.

I smirk and look at her, still hiding the rest of my face. She recognizes me and gasp. "You're the one who's been going around and delaying Maleficent?" She asks.

I nod and she smiles before rushing up and giving me a hug. I slip from the edge and use the edge to tumble down. When I hit the ground, I start running and burst out of the door. Carlos and I link hands and I take off. Jay and Evie follow us up. "Hey, Maleficent!" Evie shouts.

Maleficent, in her dragon form, turns to Evie and blows fire. Carlos and I land on her back, just behind her head. I keep us on her as Carlos starts to peel off scales. "Come on," I encourage.

"Go," he says. "I've got this."

I fly up and go around. "This ends now, Maleficent," I scream. "You don't get to hurt anyone ever again!"

Carlos must have gotten through a scale because she shrieks in pain. Her wings extend as she takes to the skies above Auradon. I link hands with Carlos, getting him away from the wings. Evie starts to spell Maleficent, trying to weaken her wings as Jay lands on Maleficent's head. He swings around her, giving her sharp bursts of an energy attack.

"Can you hold her off?" I ask into the earpiece. "I think I have a spell that can take away all of her powers. She won't even be able to wield any kind of magic object, but I need to concentrate."

"We've got this," Carlos says.

Jay nods. "Go!"

I fly down, floating near the castle, looking down at Ben. I give him a quick hug and kiss his cheek. He looks at me confused for a moment before his eyes widen in realization. I tear off my mask and he pulls me close again. "Mal?" he whispers.

"I'm sorry," I cry. He seems confused before I pull away and tap his forehead with my finger. He stares off in a daze. "He'll wake up when this is over," I tell them.

I pull out the wands as I fly above the palace. "With powers strong and heart so true, I banish yours to make askew; take these powers and end this evil, not a wrong and never ill. Forever more who not forget, take my strength to fill the debt; end this now so not bring chaos, leave the light to never cross!" I scream. Maleficent looks at me with fear in her eyes before attacking me. I'm thrown from the sky, landing hard on the group and rolling to a stop. Jay helps me up, covering us in a shield before going back. I fly back up and get right up in Maleficent's face. "With powers strong and heart so true, I banish yours to make askew; take these powers and end this evil, not a wrong and never ill. Forever more who not forget, take my strength to fill the debt; end this now so not bring chaos, leave the light to never cross!" both wands light up, one in darkness and the other in light I aim them right at Maleficent.
