It was one of those days where Fawn was working, James being the test subject, Max being at classes and Ashley at swim practice. Leaving Willow at home alone.
Willow was sitting at home when there was a knock on the door. She sighed and got up, walking to the door.
"Can I help you?" She said as she opened the door before coming face to face with her twelve-year-old self.
"Um, hi. I'm a student at Mrs Elizabeth's School of Magic (I couldn't think of anything better) and, um, well, you see... We had an assignment about family history and, well... I'm Kate. I'm your sister."
Willow nodded. "I can tell. Come in. I'll steal some of Fawn's snack foods." Willow walked to the kitchen and grabbed some food while Kate sat on the couch.
"So. What do you want to know?"
"Um, well, I want to know why you left. Mum and Dad would never tell me..."
Willow sighed. "Well, it started when I was twelve. Mum and Dad were talking about me and MESOM...
~FLASHBACK~
I was sitting at the desk in my room, listening to Mom and Dad's muffled discussion about sending me off. I was looking through the leaflet for MESOM. It boasted our school will make your rebellious daughter a perfect, prim and proper lady, skilled in her area of magic. To me, it sounded like torture. It still does. I was no lady, I'm still no lady. But no one's perfect. But I never wanted to go to that school.
Mum slowly opened the door and poked her head in. 'Honey?'
'What? What do you want?' I said bitterly as I turned to face her.
'We had this all planned-'
I cut her off. 'Oh yeah?' I said. I was starting let my anger out at that point. 'Where was all my input, huh? When did I ever agree to this?'
'We planned it so you would be the perfect girl. Perfect young witch.' She said. Everything they made me do. All the habits and everything was because of Mom and Dad.
'So what, I'm an experiment? So you know what to do right for Kate?'
'No, we just wanted to make you perfect.'
'Well, I'm not. I'm not one of those princesses, Mum. I'm not Snow White, or Cinderella, or Sleeping Beauty. And I will never be like them. My life is not written out in those fairytales. That's all they are.'
'Honey-'
'Don't you honey me! I'm not going to that stupid school. I will never be the perfect little witch you want me to be. Don't you see? All those girls there are fake.'
'But, Darling, they're not-'
'No, you're right. They are not fake. They are just... Just societies perfect girls with their perfect lives, living in a perfect world, where everything revolves around them and they can do a million different things and do them right.' I took a deep breath.
'I hate to break it to you, but that's not me. I'm sorry. But I already have a plan for my life. And it doesn't involve some preppy, rich, all-girls, boarding school where my life is already planned. I want to make my own path, make my own spells, my own potions, learn to stand on my own two feet.'
'But-' I picked up my suitcase and grabbed everything else I needed.
'No buts. I'm taking charge. I already have tickets. I'm going to the school in Times City. Goodbye, Mum. I hope everything works out with Kate.'
~PRESENT~
And I walked out, never looking back. I moved here, met Fawn who dropped out of that school and transferred here. Ashley and James came here too, you know them. And I met Max too. And everything turned out great." Willow smiled.
"Wow..." Kate hugged her. "I want to be like you."
Willow laughed and hugged her back. "Make your own path. That's all I can tell you. Oh, and don't.be afraid to do what you think is right."
---
When the others came home, they were surprised to see Willow in a happier mood than normal.
Fawn smiled. "Let her enjoy the moment. It looks like she fixed the bond between her and her sister."I feel like this is the longest chapter. And two updates in one day. Lucky you. I found a piece of paper in an old notebook with this on it. I decided it sounded like Willow and this gives an insight to her past.
Fawn though. She seems to know everything, am I right?
