Chapter 9: gone again

when the sun rose that morning it peaked through the thick paper of the door and shined in my face.

I inhaled and rolled over while squinting.

"Sakakura, time to get up dear." Saiyo laughed while holding a cup of tea.

I quickly opened my eyes and sat up to face him.

to my surprise, Saiyo and Lucius were sitting around the table having tea and I suspect they were watching me sleep.

I was a bit embarrassed.

"well come on, don't want your tea to get cold do you?" Saiyo added.

I got up and sat across from Saiyo and closer to Lucius, "I'm sorry I woke you, I know you're exhausted, but we couldn't let you sleep on this beautiful day." Saiyo commented happily.

"that's alright Saiyo, you're right." I smiled back and lifted my tea cup.

Lucius stared at me softly but regrettably for what he was about to do today.

suddenly the door flies open, "Miss Saka!" Lilian and Stephanie called and ran inside.

"girls. what are you doing here?" I asked kindly.

"we wanted to come see you.." Lilian replied innocently.

"come sit down." I said.

they sat across from Lucius, "hello Mr. Lucius.." they greeted.

he nodded in response and looked at them.

Stephanie and Lilian are aware of my relationship with Lucius and do treat him kindly even when he's not, I guess they do it for my sake.

"Oh! Dumplings!" Lilian shouted.

"here have a bowl." I fetched them some and handed them chopsticks as well.

"remember how I taught you.." I said happily.

Since I helped Snape raise them, I'd cook Dumplings for them all the time, how they loved them.

I giggled, Lucius looks at me with a bright and happy grin.

"Oh I almost forgot, It's quidditch today." Stephanie reminded me.

"Oh yes, I seem to have forgotten, when you girls are finished, you head off, I'll join you soon." I informed them.

they looked at me, "before you do, I would like you to meet Saiyo Nakamura, my swordsman teacher, he and my father trained me back in Japan." I pointed my hand at him smiling.

they nodded, "hello." they both said politely.

Saiyo chuckled, "Konnichiwa." he greeted back while bowing his head.

"I guess we should be off now, thank you Nicky." Stephanie said as they both put their bowls on the table and exited.

I watched them, "well I better be off, I have to bury the Jackals and head to the stadium." I got up and went to get dressed.

when I came back Saiyo stopped me, "why don't you head to the game, I'll bury the Jackals." he kindly offered.

"are you sure?" I asked.

"of course." he replied.

"thank you Saiyo." I said and scurried outside.

Before I closed the door I looked back and smiled at Lucius.

he flashed a small smile and then looked around slightly.

"will you be alright here while I'm gone?" Saiyo asked him.
