Chapter 10: a broken heart that's mending

I walked down the steps slowly while looking down and holding the piece of paper in my right hand.

Saiyo was sitting on a pillow resting his eyes with his arms folded.

"going somewhere.." he asked kindly.

I look up, "I thought I might go visit Hagrid for awhile.." I replied quietly.

"what do you have in your hand?" he asked with his eyes still closed.

I looked at the Note and then him, "a Note from Lucius, why?" I ask curiously.

"Hm, he must have written it in my absence.." Saiyo commented.

I stare at him, "well, I'll leave you to rest.." I started walking towards the door and slipped my boots on.

I opened the door up a few inches and looked at Saiyo and smiled.

I exit and look over at the cherry trees..

looks like we'll be having ripe cherries soon, I guess I wasn't paying attention, a lot has been happening.

I stared at the swaying branches.

I started walking, "now that my question has been answered, I think my heart is finally starting to mend.." I thought and smiled slightly while the wind blew quietly and slowly.

I approached Hagrid's house and knocked gently on the door, it opened.

"Oh, hello Miss Saka, what brings you here?" Hagrid greeted.

"a visit.." I smiled softly.

"Oh, well come on in." he stepped back.

I smiled while climbing the steps, we sat at the table.

"so how were those treats?" I asked happily.

"I still have a few left, but I'm having trouble with this bottle, I can't seem to open it.." he held up the Ramune soda.

"Ah, let me show you." I insisted.

"may I?" I added with my hand open and stretched toward him.

"of course." he handed it to me.

"when you're not familiar with these, they tend to be tricky." I removed the plastic seal and popped the blue marble on the top lose with my palm, the marble sunk to the bottom of the bottle and revealed the opening.

I smiled and handed it back.

"Interesting." he looked at it.

he took a sip as I was fiddling with Lucius's Note, he put the bottle down and hugged his lips together for a moment.

"what do you have there?" he asked nicely.

I look up, "Oh, it's a Note, from Lucius."

"I found him in the castle outside of the classroom when I and Snape were about to begin teaching he was clutching his side in distress."

"I discovered he was injured so I took him back to my Temple to treat him, he stayed for one in a half days before he left not to long ago."

"when I went upstairs I found this Love Note, and I finally had my question answered." I stared at it as I explained.

he nodded, "I knew he still loved you, he always has, but that Narcissa making him do what he doesn't want to do keeps him from expressing his true feelings, It's terribly sad.." he said sincerely.

"Narcissa makes him do things he doesn't want to do?" I asked confused.

he nodded strongly, "I seen her a few times in nocturn alley, she'd always yell at him and force him to do things, Foul and nasty she was.." he replied.

"Hmm..." I burrowed my eyebrows with a bit of anger.

I started to suspect that she was keeping a long time secret, and I was going to reveal it. "thank you for letting me know this Hagrid." I smiled.

he smiled and nodded in response, "I think I'll be going now, enjoy your Ramune soda." I smiled and stood.

I let myself out and headed home, when I got there I put the Note in a special decorative box and grabbed my Japanese flute and headed outside.

Saiyo smiled and peaked at me with one eye, he knew I was feeling better.

I sat on the ground near my cherry trees and wild flowers, I started to play a tune called 'sunrise'.

I was very peaceful and calm at the moment but Hadgrid's words of Narcissa still ran through my mind along with the mystery of Lucius's injuries.

from a long distance my music could be heard, Snape and the girls stood on a hill close by and listened.

they knew when I was at my happiest, I'd play the flute.

"She hasn't played that flute in so long.." Snape stared at me as my eyes were closed and as the wind blew majestically.

suddenly I heard shouting and laughing, "Saka! Miss Sakakura!" Stephanie and Lilian ran down the hill.

I opened my eyes.

they jumped in my arms, I smiled and leaned back a bit.

"what are you doing here? I thought you were with your friends." I asked them.

"we were, but we decided soon after we visited them that we wanted to come see you again, we wanted to spend more time with you, Father's here to." Lilian replied.

"Snape." I stood up in response to him approaching.

"I haven't seen you this happy in ages, what happened?" he asked.

"well, Lucius left today."

"I was upset of course, but then I found a Note from him on my bed, it made me feel so loved because it was from him."

"I just visited Hagrid and he told me something about Narcissa that has me suspecting her of foul play, I'm determined to find out why she tore us apart in the first place, and made me miserable all my life.." I replied strongly.

he stared at me and thought about what I said, "we'll find out together.." he insisted.

Snape didn't want me to handle this alone, so he's going to be with me till the very end, I had new hope now.

whatever Narcissa is hiding, I'm going to find out what it is.
