Snape and I sat down on a bench against the Temple wall, "so, I thought you were making potions for tomorrow?" I commented.

"I was, but I figured it could wait, the four of us haven't spent time together since last summer." he replied.

I look at cherry tree, "Oh, there seems to be a few ripe already.." my hair blew around.

Lilian and Stephanie look up from playing with the grass, they look at the tree as well.

"Oh, can we pick them!" Lilian pleaded.

"Of course you can, come grab a basket." I smiled sweetly and fetched three from a small table near the garden.

I helped them up their ladders and climbed the tree myself and sat in the middle of it, Snape watched me and the girls as we smiled and laughed while picking the fruit.

Later that afternoon, Lucius steps through his front door regrettably.

he makes it to the middle of the room before he hears, "you could have spared yourself the heartache Lucius, I thought you loved her and wanted to protect her." Narcissa stepped into the light from behind the door.

"what do you mean?" he questioned and turned serious.

"I know where you've been." she said with her arms folded.

she took her time walking closer, "you told her." Narcissa grinned.

"I never said anything." Lucius retorted.

"you mentioned my name, that alone is enough." she stared at him.

"I had spies Lucius, I heard every word." she added.

Lucius became frightened and worried, you could see it in his eyes.

"tomorrow, very early, when the sky begins turning blue, you will come with me to watch her die.." she scolded.

"and just so you don't get any ideas to run off and warn them." she cuffed one of his wrists and took his cane.

she then pulled him over to a large dark green sofa and cuffed the other end to the bench like arm.

he looked down at his cuffed wrist and then up at her as her face was half darkened.

he stared at her with sadness and started to tear up.

Narcissa walked away with no regret or remorse...

Later that night the girls, Snape and I sat outside.

the crickets were chirping and it seemed pretty peaceful.

"I think we should get to bed now." I leaned forward a bit while sitting on one of the pillars.

"I'll stay here tonight, girls, you'll have to go back to the castle." Snape assured.

"I don't want them to travel alone, I'll have Saiyo take them back." I slowly got up and climbed the steps as the two swinging paper lanterns burned brightly.

I slid the door open, "Saiyo, could you take the girls back to the castle for me?" I asked politely.

Saiyo was still resting his eyes when he suddenly opened them, "of course I will." he smiled.

"thank you Saiyo, I just didn't want them to travel alone.." I said while we walked out of the door together.

"Snape will be staying with us tonight." I smiled slightly while looking over at him.

Saiyo smiled and nodded, he kindly took the girls by their hand and started to leave soon after our conversation.

we watched them for awhile, "come on, let's go get you some bedding." I grinned and looked up at him.
