Chapter 34: Disadvantage

Jungkook~ POV

V and I left Jimin at the park and went straight to the BTS Hotel. Jin and Rapmonster awaits us. We exchanged "good mornings" and sat at a secluded lounge in the lobby. I was curious.

I knew that V noticed the large amount of food too. I admit that I was starving from training.

"Thank You for coming on short notice, I think I have something related to the Paper Gang," Jin got straight to the point as he handed me another black crane and a molded dog tag.

I unfolded the crane carefully to receive a written message.

"Watch Yourselves," I read out loud.

I could almost laugh. That's what we have been doing. Rapmonster sat back into his seat and Jin widen his eyes. I gave the note to V and he gave me the dog tag instead. I can assume that it must be Hound's.

"I think Hound remembers me when I knocked him out," Jin stated as he points to the tag.

I nodded.

"That would only make sense, so be careful. All of us. If you want, we can have police dispatched to protect you or your home," I offered.

I have a bad feeling already.

"No thanks, I think I'll be fine. If anything I trust you guys to handle it," Jin welcomingly smiled.

"Are you sure?" I ask once more, "The Paper Gang is no joke."

Jin shook his head.

I really have a bad feeling about this.

"You can count on us!" V exclaimed.

I looked over to Rapmonster and he is holding a torn piece of paper. He places it on the table and V picks it up.

"We need to meet," V slowly said from looking at the note.

"It's from Bunny, he left it at the front desk. My co-workers didn't know when and how it arrived," Rapmonster told.

I trusted Rapmonster a little bit better. I took a look at the note and the signature stood out. The name was "printed" out and was clear as day. The name left a sour taste in my mouth.

Thinking about the whole thing left a sourness in mouth. I can never forget my brother dying in front of me. I can't ignore Bunny and I can't ignore that my dad may be Fox. I know V told me that it was just a theory, but I had a gut feeling.

I tried not think about it, but I can't simply push it away. The thought creeps me out. My father might possibly be the leader of a notorious gang. I just need another sign to see if it's true or not, before I make any wrong moves.

"Jungkook," V pulled me away from my thoughts.

"Yeah, sorry. I was thinking about our next clue," I lied.

"What is it?" Rapmonster eagerly asked.

I could tell that he was innocent and just wants to end this problem from his expressions. Although, I wasn't so sure about sharing it with him. There was too many risks.

"Well first, Rapmonster you need to be cautious when you're alone. They can get you there. We would offer help, but we need to know if the Paper Gang still trust you. It's dangerous if they know you were against them. You could die"

V nodded and agreed. Jin gulped and Rapmonster breathed out.

"For now, it's safer if you had information about us so they'll keep you alive. We can't play games and give false info," I continued.

Rapmonster looked worried as if he was asked to guard the Queen.

"Can't we put Rapmonster somewhere safe?" Jin asked.

"Rapmonster is one of our best leads. We're sorry to burden you with that task, but this is for the sake of the city," V responded.

If all else fails we have Rapmonster. He has ties to the Paper Gang. Worse case scenario, he joins.

I feel bad.

I'm supposed to protect citizens, but instead I'm using them for my advantages and disadvantages.

"Well what's the next clue?" Rapmonster questioned.

"We're heading to a mask store for some clues"

That was it, nothing more, nothing less.

"Ok," Rapmonster cooperated.

"Rapmonster fighting!" V exclaimed.

Jin and I half smiled. Rapmonster punched the air.

I was glad that Rapmonster was willing to help.

"Dr. Seokjin!!!"

I glanced over to the red elevator and J-Hope was there. He sprinted over and greeted us. I heard the entrance doors open. Jimin and Suga entered.

"See I told you Rapmonster! Everyone else would show up!" Jin shouted.

I muffled my laughter as Jin started to take out proportions of beef.

We're all linked because of the Paper Gang case.
