Chapter 6

"And that is how DNA replication works..." Mr raig concluded after two hours of wanting to hit my head off the wall, while our too enthusiastic biology went on... And on... And on.

Then on... And on... And on again.

The bell finally rang and I smiled my 'Yes! School is over' smile. "Kai..." I packed my books and bits into my bag, "Kai..." I stood up slinging my bag over my shoulder, "Kai..."

I turned calmly, "Yes, Jake?"

"Kai..."

I thwacked him over the head with a work book giving out by Mr Raig.

"So my little cherub, how's things with Michael?" I asked. Michael was Jakes new 'not sure if I want you but it's definitely a possibility' friend.

We started heading towards the gymnasium.

"I'm not sure, he's great... but something is missing."

"Missing?"

We stopped at the vending machine and I bought a bottle of water, Jake leaned against it,

"I don't know." He sighed dramatically, "I'm just all messed up," he cried, "Don't even look at me." He grabbed my face and pushed it away.

I bit his hand hard and he yelped pulling it away and cradling it, I smiled sweetly at him.

"You may look like an angel but your the spawn of the devil." He declared.

I laughed, "Seriously though, everythings okay with him?" I asked.

Jake cocked his head and stared at me adoringly, "Forget what I said, you are all angel through and through," he pinched my cheek, "So sweet!" He cooed.

"Back off."

"No, you're just so wonderful," he cooed hugging me and kissing my cheek.

I groaned, trying to push him and his face away, "Stop slobbering on me."

He squeezed me even harder, "But I love you so much!"

"Of course you do." I broke free and set off to the gym.

"KAI! DON'T LEAVE ME!" Jake cried, I cringed in embarrassment as people in the hallways looked on curiously.

I walked through the double doors that lead to the changing room doors and the big door to the gymnasium.

"Shit.." I heard before Jake crashed into my back, I lost balance and tumbled forward, Jake coming with me. I twisted and fell on my back with Jake on top of me.

Ow that hurt.

I groaned and pushed Jake off of me, he stood up and laughed nervously down at me, "Woops, forgot my brakes there."

"I hate you." I groaned.

"Is everything okay here?" A deep, slightly rusty tone asked.

I turned my head in the mystery voices direction and my eyes widened.

Well hello.

*

This guy, well man, do you know what possibly god was rather yum.

He looked older, probably in his early twenties, he had tanned skin, nice face structure, spiked brown hair, and intense green eyes that were staring down at me with amusement. He was wearing a white polo which showed off bulging muscles and navy joggers.

My eyes widened even further, he must be the new coach.

"Yeh, bit of a problem..." Jake started, raising a finger, "I may have possibly broken my friends spine."
