I lifted the camera strap from my neck and set it on my cluttered bed. My bed resembled my life so much, a mess. I silently laughed at the thought and ran my hands through my hair.
A knock at the door stopped my actions and I began to walk towards the source of the noise. My hand twisted the knob in a swift motion.
"Helloooo"
My blue eyes met Jordan's hazel ones.
"Sorry I forgot my key" She smiled innocently.
"J!" I said wrapping my arms around her neck.
"Bea it's been a whole week how did I survive without you?!" She said burying her face in my tangled hair.
"Actually it's been a week and two days" I corrected her.
"Too long my friend" She said while entering our dorm with a suitcase following behind her.
Our week long thanksgiving break ended well, a week ago. But, due to family issues and delayed airplanes Jordan had a two extra days.
"So how are the cheek pinching grandmothers and ancient aunts and uncles" I questioned leaning against the wall.
"Just dandy" She admitted rolling her eyes.
I briefly laughed and made my way over towards her.
"Would you like to take a walk and vent about your family issues?" I asked in a baby voice.
"That would be great, but I'm only going if you agree to never talk like that again" She laughed and set down her suitcase.
"Agreed" I said excitedly and linked our arms.
"I missed ya Bea"
"Not as much as I missed you J" I smiled and we exited out tiny dorm room.

"She threw mashed potatoes at your mom?!" I repeated while holding my stomach.
"Yes Bea! You should have seen it!" She began laughing with me "my grandma has quite the arm on her"
My laughter faded and we continued to walk on the school grounds. We came to the spot where I saw my muse just a few hours before.
"Whatcha thinkin' about Bea"
"You know just about crazy grandmothers and their gifted arms" I looked over at Jordan.
"I wish you would have gone Bea. It was amazing" She began to laugh once again. However, I didn't join her this time. Instead I started to think of the lack of memories I had this past thanksgiving.
"So uh-" she hesitated "how was your thanksgiving?"
"Well my fellow friends at Seattle Coffee shop gave me a swell thanksgiving dinner" I said with a sad smile. Saying it out loud was more embarrassing than I thought it was going to be.
"Bea, I offered my home for thanksgiving a least a thousand times" She looked at me like my mom use to when she was disappointed in me.
"Wow, you really got that face down" I laughed nervously.
"Stop avoiding the conversation Beatriz"
"Woah, full first name too. This is getting serious" I sarcastically stated with a shocked look on my face.
"Bea stop fúcking 'round"
Her voice became intimidating and my confidence crawled back into its comfortable cave.
"Okay, okay so my Thanksgiving sucked ass" I admitted throwing my hands up in the air in surrender.
Jordan exhaled and spoke once again, "Promise me you'll at least come to my house for Christmas if you don't want to go back home for the break"
"Promise" I said while crossing my heart with my right index finger.
She scoffed and playfully slapped my arm. Our arms were linked once again and it became silent.
Just as I was enjoying our peaceful walk, a crazed blonde boy came into view.
"My two favorite beauties!!"
"Hello Niall" Jordan said in an elegant tone.
"Oh how I've your pretty faces" Niall said smiling brightly looking at each of us.
I gave him a tight hug, "Missed you too handsome"
"How were your guys' break?" He questioned
Jordan glanced over at me quickly, "Our break was great"
I looked down at the ground briefly and smiled because I could always count on J for protecting me.
"Amazing!" He began to walk along our side.
We began a conversation on Niall's own crazy family. I realized that I kind of missed that, just family in general. I longed for it. I longed for something.
Jordan pulled me out of my thoughts, "I need to go talk to our English professor! Meet you back at the hole"
And just like that Jordan ran off towards the buildings. I laughed silently when I noticed she had used our silly name for our dorm, the hole. We had decided this just a few days after we moved in. Everything just seems to get lost in that dorm room, but it turns up eventually. Plus, is constantly dark in there since our dorm doesn't face the sun until the evening. Oddly enough, I didn't mind it. The hole was cozy.
"There she goes" Niall chuckled.
"OH! Bea I have a favor to ask you" He spoke once again with a wild smile plastered on his face.
"Should I be frightened" My face mimicked his wild expression.
"No no no" He laughed again, "I want you to be the center of my project"
My laughter increased unexpectedly and my eyes met his again.
"Oh you're serious" I said as I realized his stern look.
"Yes Bea. I want you to be the star in my project, for Mr. Valhar's class" Niall bluntly spoke.
I paused thinking about all the possibilities of this project. But, being the center of a project didn't seem so bad. It actually seemed...interesting. Boom. I was intrigued.
"Okay, but only because you are asking me" I gave him a smirk.
"Yes!! You, Beatriz Wolfe are brilliant!!"
"Oh stop" I laughed at his excitement.
"By the way I need you to pretend to fall in love with your co-star" He said quickly and gave a pressured smile.
"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow.
"You will start tomorrow Beatriz. I will see you at the usually hang out spot" He began to jog backwards towards the buildings.
"Okay Horan text me the rest of the info!" I shouted towards him.
"Will do Bea"
What did I just agree to? I thought to myself. My subconscious was pounding me down with questions as to what his project would consist of. Well tomorrow was going to be one eventful day.
Authors Note: So this chapter is a bit of a filler chapter since I am still introducing characters, but I hope you learned a little bit more about Bea as well as enjoyed the chapter(: Don't for get to vote! Mace xx
