The anxiety I usually would have walking through a crowded room of strangers wasn't there. I don't know if it was because I was familiar with my surroundings considering this was Niall's home. Or maybe it was the fact that Harry made me feel safe, protected.I quickly started to fall behind Harry as he was much taller than me making it uh easier for him to navigate around the home. He noticed this and without hesitation he grabbed my hand and dragged me through the crowd.
"Thanks for saving from sudden death by drunk teens" I laughed.
"My pleasure" He gave me a slight wink and began making a drink. Whether it was for himself or me I couldn't tell, but I didn't care.
"So, where's your boy? Not coming?" He doubted Jared.
"He should be on his way actually"
"Right" Harry just smiled as if he knew something and continued to throw liquids into a red solo cup.
"Harry, you don't even know him" I rolled my eyes.
"I like it when you say my name" He diverted the conversation.
"Shut up" I pushed him making him spill some of the drink on his shirt.
He bit his lip and frustration.
"You're going to clean this off my shirt"
"I am not!" I argued while laughed simultaneously.
"You made me spill, so therefore you are going to clean it up"
"Fine, fine. Let me get a towel" I turned around walking towards the guest bathroom not noticing Harry following closely behind.
I've only been inside Nialls parent home a hand full of times, but I swear they change the hand towels every damn time. I reached for the dull blue colored towel that hung on the wall and began to search for any kind of stain remover under the sink.
"I could get use to this view" Harry startled me as he stood in the doorway of the bathroom.
I got up from my bending down position and slammed a bottle of Clorox stain remover on the counter.
"Don't be a pig"
He snorted impersonating a pig in response to my insult.
"You're ridiculous you know that?" I couldn't help, but laugh.
I actually enjoyed this side of Harry. It was playful and refreshing, something I needed to get my mind off other people.
As if on cue I began to thing of Drew and his threats. I didn't understand his persist want for me to stay away from Harry. There had to be some sort of reasoning relating to them being half-brothers. Maybe a feud they've always had. Or they just want each other to be miserable. Or he's just a complete psychotic asshole.
I like the last reason the best.
"This shirt isn't going to clean itself" Harry nagged.
I gave him a death glare, "just sit your ass down on the toilet"
"Yes ma'am" He walked over towards the toilet and sat down with no hesitation.
I began trying to rub out the stain with the now ruined hand towel. I'm sure the Horan's were going to get new towels anyway.
"Have I told you you look amazing tonight?" Harry said staring at me as I stared at the stain that wouldn't budge.
I licked my now dry lips.
"Thank you" I couldn't say anything more. We were just friends. Even a friendship was pushing the limits of Drews threatening request.
"You had to wear a white shirt?" I cursed.
