"No! This can't be happening. They can't...its Clace." She murmured. I laughed at Jess, she had no idea.
"I know, its terrible. Hey, you took it better than I did. And remember you're only on book one." I told her. Unlike Jess, I finished the series, in fact I've finished many. Still, my Books To Read list only got bigger.
"But it's Clace. I'm not okay with this."
"Got to love the fandom." I said as I laced up my boots.
"You getting ready to go?" I heard her ask from the other side of the line.
"Yeah, don't want to be late, my first day and all."
"I still don't get it. A fandom school?"
"Yes. We, fangirls and fanboys, write fan fiction. Take classes on books, read, and hangout. All day. We even get to share our work with other people of that fandom. It's just a school for young authors that dedicate their time to writing."
"How many fandoms?"
"More than you can count, Jess. I am part of a lot of them."
"Hmm...okay. Text me when it gets out then, 'kay?"
"Sure, sure. Talk to you later. Luv ya."
"Love you, too. Bye."
I heard a click as the line went dead. I stood up and went to get my bag. Fandom High wasn't a normal high school, it was for boys and girls 13, or older, who love fandoms, writing and reading. The Mortal Instruments, Twilight, Hush hush, Vampire Academy, The Remnant Conicals, Fallen, and many more are some of the fandoms that I enjoy. My favorite, The Mortal Instruments.
I walked to the door after finding my bag and made my way down the driveway. My neon green, Jeep Wrangler was parked on the curb. I climbed inside, buckled up, and drove to Fandom High.
I looked up at the light blue colored building in front of me. Fandom High was a 4 story school, with a glass wall on each floor, except the top, at the 4th floor all the walls were glass. The entrance also had large glass, double doors, through which I could see a huge foyer and every wall a mix of colors in murals. Surely panted by, none other than fanarters.
I popped open the door to my jeep and stepped out, still looking at the school. I grabbed my bag and made my way up the seven stairs that lead the way inside.
I was greeted with a blast of cool air. I pulled my leather jacket closer. I wore a pair of ripped up skinny jeans, a mint colored green T-shirt, with my black combat boots, and my black leather jacket. I decided to put my wavy blonde hair into a up due with a some stray strands framing my face. For makeup, a smoky eye look and clear lip gloss.
What could I say? This is my style."Welcome!" Said a eerie high voice. I turned to my right to see a girl around my age with dark brown hair in pigtails, with eyes to match behind a pair of glasses. She was also very short, compared to me, anyway. "I'm Sum Wong. You must be Amberley, our newest fangirl."
"Well, hello to you, too. Yeah, that's me, just call me Amber."
"Oh, well, it's nice to finally meet you, Amber."
"Finally?" I questioned, I didn't know that anyone knew I was coming, besides the people in the office.
"Yes, everyone here has been waiting a long time for you to arrive. You're very...known, in the fandom world." She said in a sweet tone. So much for just staying in the shadows, unnoticed.
"Oh," I muttered, "Well then...can you show me to my, uh- first class?" I wasn't one to ask for help much.
"Yes, but first I have to show you to your locker and where your fandom family is."
"Fandom family?" She laughed.
"Yes. Every fandom is a family, after all. Each floor for a different type of fandom. Bottom floor, this one, for film fandoms, mostly Disney and anime. Second floor for comic fandoms, lots of Marvel. And the top two floors for book fandoms, the third floor is class rooms for them and they get a huge library to them selves, the top floor that's all glass walls. You should have gotten a packet sent to you that said all this."
I smiled sheepishly, "Yeah, I just kinda skimmed through it. I really just wanted the paper that said my schedule. Anyway, I'm a book neek, so I guess I just go up a few flight of stairs?"
"Yes," -I swear thats the millionth time I heard 'yes' out of her mouth- "I help out in the office, so you'll see me around, but for now I was assigned to help you fit in and find your way. Also, I got to see your file." My stomach dropped and I felt the blood leave my face.
No. No. No. No! Not again, please!"I- I have a file?"
"Yes, everyone does. Don't worry, it just says what kind of things you're into and what you'll be studying here." She assured, clearly seeing my expression. "Are you okay? You did something that bad, huh?"
"Worse." I whispered.
She changed the subject. "Okay, let's get you to class, the tardy bell doesn't ring until 10, but everyone is always in class early." She said starting to take the stairs up.
"Sure, sure." I laughed silently to myself, something I picked up from Twilight, a habit now. She paused and turned to look at me on the forth step.
"Also, you must tell me, what does 'neek' mean?"
