I sat in the back of the room, hoping to avoid stares. Nope, not working. Sitting in the back does nothing to help. Waves of murmurs came from everywhere in the room. I caught a few of them...
Wow. She's...known, famous even! I can't believe I'm even in the same room as her...Her role as Ariel in The Little Mermaid made the news last year, she has a beautiful voice...
Why is she here? Shouldn't she be in Holly Wood, or something...
I bit my tongue, carful not to call them names for talking about me like I wasn't there. Suddenly a new face appeared from the crowd of the other curious ones. The face got closer until it was siting right next to me.
"I'm Daxton Curtis. You're Amberley Moore." He stated, sticking his hand out. I ignored this and put on my best annoyed expression.
"What do you want?" I said coldly. Just one look at this guy told me he was trouble, I didn't want or need any trouble in my life again. Bright blue eyes and dirty blonde hair, typical boy toy. His brown-blonde hair was short and jelled into spikes, like I expected.
He dropped his hand in disappointment.
"Oh, I see. You're a lone wolf. Respect." I just looked back to the page I was doodling on, I started making random circles across the paper. The boy never looked away from me or changed his seat."What do you want?" I hissed eventually, clearly aggravated now.
"I just wanted to see if I could help you out today, show you around?"
"That job's already filled, thanks." I made a shooing motion with my hand, he ignored it.
"C'mon, you can sit with me at lunch."
"Mmm...no thanks. Bye." I kept drawling my circles. He just wanted the credit he would get if he sat with me, apparently I'm famous. I didn't like being 'known' especially for something I enjoy. Roll playing and singing is a passion of mine, not something I do for the fame. Luckily, a teacher I assume, came into the the large room. She had a slim figure, hidden by jeans and a purple blouse. She had short black hair, streaked with brown.
"Today we will continue working on our fanfictions," she announced, "I'll come around and pass them out, after that you know where to find me if you need me." She came and passed out a paper or two to everyone, some with writing, some completely filled. When she got to the our table she handed all the rest of the papers to a girl at the end. As soon as the teacher set them down she left the room.
Okay then. There were four people at this table, two girls, Daxton next to me, and I at the end. The girls passed the papers down after taking theirs. Daxton took one and held up a blank lined sheet for me to take. I reached for my assignment but before I could take it, he grabbed my extended hand.
"Let go!" I whispered yelled.
"Never," he simply replied with a wicked smile.
"Let. Me. Go." I said, not bothering whispering anymore, everyone was already staring.
"Make me." That son of a beautiful woman.
"I'll make you. Let her go, she doesn't want your filthy hands on her," cut in a hard voice, and of course, another face appeared.
"Piss off, Walker." Daxton said to the new face.
"Make me," The guy-Walker, mimicked. This new stranger had light brown hair that extended to his mid neck, his hazel eyes calm, yet still bore into the boy next to me like daggers.
I felt like it was a old western show down. One hand resting on the hilt of their gun, each raising an eyebrow at a time as the music tingles again. Then it's the twitch of the lips or squint of the eyes as a whip lash sounds.
Then the guns are pulled.
"Oh, I will." Everything happened so fast. Daxton jumped up in a blur and pounced on Walker. Yes, pounced, like a cat. Walker made a punch to Daxton's stomach causing him to jump off. By then everyone in the room was gathered around, no one chanting 'fight, fight, fight...' or anything but they were making occasional 'oh's and 'ooow's like they could imagine the pain. I focused on the fight right on time to see Daxton throw a punch to Walker's face, Walker not expecting it, took the hit. While straining for balance, Walker hooked his foot around one of Daxton's ankles and knocked him off his feet. Then the teacher was back, pulling Daxton up.
"Let's go! Both of you!" She demanded in fury.
She grabbed both the boys by the arm and disappeared out the door again. I realized my mouth must have been just a gaping hole, I closed it quickly and went back to my circles."Oh my gosh. I can't believe Walker would do that, he never does anything like that. I'm sorry you had to see that, you probably think we're all maniacs around here. I'm Kyra Smit." Said the girl now a seat down from me.
"And I'm Kinley Smit." Said the girl next to her.
"Sisters?" I asked.
"Twins." They answered in unison. They looked exactly alike, red hair and blue eyes. Kyra wore a short dress with a floral pattern in blue and her hair only went to her shoulders, Kinley wore the same in purple, with hair that went down to the middle of her back. Good girls, good friends.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you already knew who I was," I replied with a small smile. "It's nice to meet you both."
What?? I needed good friends.
"You too," Kinley said. "Umm...I don't mean to pry, but do you have anyone to sit with at lunch?"
Sum Wong, from the comic fandom family, had explained that there was a entire different building in the back of this one that was the cafeteria and auditorium, with a stage- after I explained that a neek was a nerd-geek.
Each fandom family got a lotted hour to eat and chat. Meaning, without Sum, I would be completely alone."No," I answered honestly, "the only person I considered sitting with so far is in the Comic Family."
"Well, you can sit with us...if you would like. We also wouldn't mind introducing you to a couple of people you'll have in your classes. So you don't ever have to not see a familiar friendly face." Kyra said gently.
"That would be fantastic, thanks." We spent the rest of the class period talking, comparing schedules and working on our assignments.
After that I was off to debating about different ships, we had to choose a team, Jacob or Edward. Of course, no one truly ever got over the war of Bella's love. I choose Edward's side and we won the debate.
Then I had lunch, each class here is an hour, so it was twelve when I got to eat. The Smit twins sat in the near middle of the cafeteria, each table sat five people, there were only seven tables inside and four outside. Even though our family was the biggest, we only had about 60 people in it. Fandom High was a private school, after all. It was a nice day, considering Dallas Texas, so there were some people sitting in the grass.I went through the lunch line with Kyra, because Kinley brought food from home.
"They have lasagna, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, chicken and rice, steak and mash potatoes, as options today. There's salad, too. Once you pick your main corse and drink you can get two sides. They have almost every fruit and vegetable to pick from. There's chips and ice cream, you know things like that, at the á la carte, too.""I think I'll just stick with a sandwich and an apple, for now." I told her while I grabbed a water bottle from the huge cooler.
After we got our food and sat down, the girls introduced me to about all the cafeteria, though everyone already knew who I was. I couldn't help but notice neither Walter or Daxton was there.
